I drove a Macan GTS when my TTST was in for a service and tbh was completely unimpressed by it. Couldn't wait to pick the Taycan back up. And that wasn't really for the speed.
I've been seriously looking at my next vehicle, in advance of December when my Taycan's PCP is due. I'm not particularly worried about how much I've 'lost' on the car, it's irrelevant. I'd *possibly* go back in time if I were to do it again and go the HP option instead...maybe.
However, kind...
Yes exactly.
and yeah I always choose a lower gear for steeper hills, a belt and braces approach that one of my cars doesn’t even let us do manually (but it does sense the decline and change gear)
Brother-in-law is a mechanic and once said to me: "why would you risk extra strain on the engine, which can cost £000's to repair, instead of the brakes which are literally designed as wear parts?"
Doesn't apply to electric cars because they're designed to regen, but it made me change my...
Harry again gives us a perfect example of his bias in his latest car vid. He literally took the worst thing he could have done with this car - tow with it and did it. All because he "noticed it had a tow hook". Instead of saying that would be an impractical choice for an EV and perhaps to avoid...
Had a really nice day today and so have had several fun drives before the 997 goes into the managed garage.
The driving of it is really nice. Small and light, direct steering which has great feel to it in turns, giving you confidence you know what will happen. Very close to off centre it’s...
Awesome. They just seem the perfect fun spare car to me. Usable, small, light and fun.
I have enquired on pricing for the replacement PCM as well. It seems like a no-brainer!
I like that I have the option now to be honest. But yeah the Taycan is still a fun, engaging car...not a bad substitute. Took the 911 out for a quick spin now (and get some petrol in it as it was running on fumes!), and I was just enjoying the lovely sound of that N/A flat 6 and being careful...
My Taycan has been pretty good, aside from an issue with the power boot opening, which was very frustrating. The actual car fundamentals are excellent though. But, but...it's a large car and driving the 911 has reminded me how well they fit on the UK roads and how much I missed that manual...
I’ve been hankering after a 911 for years and I thought now seemed a decent time to invest
A base 911 997 Carrera 2 with PASM. A few nice little bits like Bose but nothing too fancy. Manual of course. Only 47k on the clock and really tidy.
It’s gonna go in a managed garage shortly, but I’ve a...
Yep same. They’re a business and although they make a lot of money out of us, if they gave out free fuel for every car loaner, that would end in potentially £millions across all dealers
Sure but Renault has had a mass market production EV since 2012
There’s always gonna be some ‘French’ in there. But the software is based on Google and hopefully they’ll put learning from the Zoe into the R5. Anyway, my wife loves it so not sure I have a choice! ?
Labour have said this was (weirdly), the right wing press misquoting them and Starmer recommitted to the plan. Labour aren't exactly amazing tbh, but at least they *may* commit to some improvements and surely offshore wind etc will be re-opened at the very least
100%. My parents avidly read...
