Whilst driving the Macan yesterday I noticed the spoiler at the intermediary level. I was a bit puzzled as I was in Normal and at about 50mph. I then remembered that the sunroof was open and so the spoiler deploys automatically. I’m pretty sure Porsche wouldn’t waste their time designing and...
You’re welcome and glad you found it informative. I’m sure that the in-car apps use the 10gb / month Vodafone Data Allowance which is free for 4 years. As you can see, I use virtually no in-car data per month as I use Apple Music on my phone and the Porsche sat nav.
Welcome - the press release is here - https://newsroom.porsche.com/dam/jcr:32d35762-fd67-415e-88da-ef4d66422c8b/PAG_Cayenne_Electric%2520and%2520Cayenne%2520Coup%C3%A9%2520Electric_EN_V05-ld.pdf.PDF
You've certainly had very bad luck with your cars.
It doesn't give me any satisfaction to read about 40k+ cars being recalled (perhaps only in Europe) but CHP and I had to live through all sorts of criticisms of Porsche and Macan EV's as if no other manufacturer (particularly Tesla's) had EV issues. Hoping this will be a much more helpful and...
Me too ! We've also covered off one source of the negativity.
Incidentally, I've read that the much praised Volvo EX30 has a severe fire risk so 40,000+ recalls. Similar to Taycan years ago - so Porsche were ahead !
If you compare the comfort seats in the EV & EV Coupe with those in the ICE you’ll see that the Cayenne EV’s are more aligned with sport seats. I wonder if that has created the issue as massage wasn’t and isn’t available on any sports seats.

babylou66 & pm4s - As you say, the buckle on the drivers side shouldn’t ever rattle as it should be clipped in as the driver must wear a belt. As the UK is right hand drive then the passenger seat belt is the drivers belt in the EU & US. Initially the Macan EV belt buckle on the left hand side...
In the UK, I’ve been told that without the correct independent insurance group information the car is classified as Group 99. Non-specialist insurance companies only insure up to Group 50
Could be for a similar reason as in the UK insurance is very difficult to get. See my post here - https://www.cayenneevforum.com/forum/threads/uk-insurance.29567/
My UK dealer said when they were in Spain for the dealer ‘launch’ they may be available in 3rd Qtr this year which is 2027 model. Seems really strange that the initial Porsche marketing said the massage seats would be a new generation. They provided press cars with the doors but didn’t make them...
Just called Admiral - car is still declined as classified as Group 99 ! Next week I'll call Porsche and make sure they are still holding the same policy cost for 2 months from then.
I doubt it would be a 2027 as the model year comes in after the August close down so that would only allow about say 5 weeks to build the car and ship to Houston
I guessed you were an ‘Apple Pay person’ so no wallet with cards. I’m pretty sure that all of the reputable tracker systems that provide almost immediate notice of a potential theft rely on a fob of one kind or another. The Ghost Immobiliser doesn't, but they don’t offer a tracker which is a shame.
I was told that if your car was originally a dealer order then the freeze date can change to allow a dealer to spec an actual purchase. That’s not the explanation in your case as it has changed several times.
I saw some images of the fob before and was expecting something much larger than it is. It sits in my wallet ok - but I'm old fashioned as I am happy to keep my cards etc in a wallet rather than rely upon Apple Pay.
Admiral were about the same for my 4S, wife's car and house compared with Porsche just for the 4S. Cayenne Coupe base is far more competitive, which is why I asked the dealer if they knew the reason and was told what I said in the initial post. If Admiral do quote then I expect it to be less...
