Hi everyone, I’m close to decision time on my specs and would appreciate anyone willing to share thoughts on my configuration: https://porsche-code.com/PTZLTTJ0

A few points where I’m still unsure:

• Since I don’t want the black leather interior, I’m tempted by a black exterior with the red interior, as I find the red stunning. Are there any other exterior colours that pair well with the red interior that I should consider?
I’m slightly worried I’ll get bored of the red interior, or find it too flashy after a while. Are there any other exterior/non-black interior combinations you’ve seen and liked? I particularly like the Napali Blue exterior.
• I’m after maximum range. I was surprised to see the configurator show only 2 miles difference between the 21” wheels (which I prefer the look of) and the 20” — what do you all think?
• I love listening to music on short commutes, so I’ve specced the Burmester, though I’ve never actually heard one. I’ve prioritised it over the head-up display, which I have in my current car and could live without.

Thanks for your help and time.

Have you seen the red in real life? It's darker than it looks in photos. The same applies for Bramble and Espresso.

I had Bramble on my first Taycan, and it looks stunning. Something a bit different without being too flashy. I absolutely would choose Bramble again. It is a more expensive "Club" leather option, however.

Range does NOT impact my choice of rims whatsoever. I personally don't see the point in spending huge amounts of money on a car for it not to look the best it possibly can be. And for what? Getting a few extra miles? Even with the 22" Sport Techno rims, range will be more than enough.

Lovely spec ….i don’t think there’s any wrongs or rights ….go with what makes you happy …..after all you’ll be driving it…

appreciate your candid/direct feedback on the wheels. I do use the car in very long road trips to south of France rather frequently (3 times a year), so I am pretty sensitive to that topic, but good point nevertheless. Makes me think it again.

will check out the colour combinations you mentioned

I'm on my 4th Porsche EV, and seventh overall EV since 2022. 95% of my EV driving is long-distance between mainland Europe and the north of England (once or twice per month), and the sheer number of IONITY chargers, especially in France, means range is just not a factor, especially when you can charge from 10% 80% in 15 minutes.

This is a good site if you're not aware of it...There's a map tab in the top right.

And I thought I was changing cars too frequently 🤣😅
Thanks for the website. Anything specific you’re watching on it that’s not on their app?

The Burmeister is an excellent option. I’ve got it on my Cayenne Turbo EV and love it.
I also have the heads up and now I have it, would struggle not to spec it in the future. It’s very good.
I’ve had seat cooling before and have been unimpressed. I’ve also been unimpressed with massage seats on previous cars (ex60, Mercedes GLC and BMW iX).
If the rear seats will get used, I’d go for heating on them instead.
tinted HD matrix headlights are pricey but look good and work brilliantly.
Rear axle steering and drivers assist are both great calls.

enjoy it when you get it!

The website has nothing to do with IONITY. It's a 3rd party managing it I believe.

I find the two benefits of it are a much more user friendly map to see at a glance where IONITY sites are, and the "in construction" page, which I don't believe IONITY show on their app.

As a matter of interest, which places in particular do you like in the south of France, and what are the best times? Just the two of us, semi-retired now, so no constraint about school terms.
We are planning to go there next year.
Any feedback from an experienced traveller would be good :)

Good point on the massage seat and its quality. Oddly, my wife has it in her ID.7 and they're very good and she swears by it. That option is also what is holding up my order actually since it's not yet available.
No real use for the rear seat heating (kids are in car seats), and I generally agree on cooling seats actually (not very strong in my experience). I was thinking they could come handy after working out (post shower but still hot), but that might be wishful thinking.
I am very much looking forward to hearing my favorite songs on Burmeister.

I just came back (flying) from Presque Ile de Giens/Hyeres/Porquerolles region. Current time is perfect. Everyone is gone and weather is gorgeous.
Otherwise, I frequently drive to Aveyron department and French Alps. The former is great for very remote and rural holidays, the latter is underrated in the summer in my opinion :)

Hi,

Interior colour combination Black/Bordeaux Red looks good. I surprised (positively) a bit when received the car because the colour combination looks much better compared to the samples. Red colour is darker than sample showed.
