My former military division (Folgore!) should sue them for designing something so horribly boring. Typical Italian….tsk. Tsk.

Sorry guys but this is subpar. Looks like
Maserati still wants to stay stagnant with things and safe styling wise. Looks like they just packaged the gran turismo design and slapped some electric into it. I bet the infotainment system will be dated straight out the box too.
"And our engineers found a way to package the batteries in the central tunnel."

translates from the original Italian to:

"We're using an existing ICE platform."

Wrong paint / weird decals but I’m sure that it’ll look the part in person.
Not as jaw dropping as the original GT, but not as bad as the jump from previous QP to current (bland) one
And the electric sound feels alright too! But I’m unsure a Maserati customer would chose a an electric Granturismo over the Nettuno engine…

The only thing faster than this cars acceleration will be its depreciation.

I wouldn’t touch a car with a trident on the hood unless I was using someone else’s money.

Haha. That’s what some people would call “leasing”. If the lease payments fit your budget (or the company’s) then it’s not really a consideration (although higher depreciation should be reflected in lease payments, but manufacturers are known to manipulate lease depreciation factors to make their cars competitive).

I suppose that would make sense as a business write off. However, my personal cars I just buy cash (never leased) - so I’m keenly aware of depreciation.

I thought they would hit it out the park like how they did with the MC20. Now that they killed it on with the styling etc
Exactly, it’s a gran turismo, probably take interior parts out of the Chrysler bin too…

I don't think Porsche can say much about Maserati using an old design. The 911 doesn't look much different over the last 40 years or so, does it!

I had the old GranTurismo S for three years. I am glad they didn't change the style too much. And the interiors were stunning (made by Poltrona Frau, e luxury brand in leather furniture). I moved to a 911 because Maserati discontinued the car. I'll give them a couple of years to fix it (as I did for the Taycan) and then I am back to "made in Italy" :)

I drove my brother-in-law's Gran Turismo and I was underwhelmed. Sounded and looked good but the interior wasn't great, the auto box was awful, the performance was average, the handling was average, build quality was typically Italian, it seemed like a posh Alfa Romeo to me. I'd rather not but appreciate the post, I'd noticed it on a few of the sites I follow.
