Hey everyone!

I’ve been following the Macan EV (vs Cayenne) closely and noticed that Porsche usually has a pretty short gap (around 2 months or so) between releasing full details and actually opening up for orders. Since Porsche has officially mentioned that the Cayenne EV will launch by the end of the year, do you think we’ll be able to place orders before then?

I’m really hyped about this release and curious to hear your thoughts!

Macan EV reveal was January 2024 and orders opened immediately after reveal. The Cayenne still hasn't "officially" revealed yet, so I estimate the reveal will follow the same timelines as the Macan. A reveal in December with order available immediately. You'll have to ask your dealer if they'll take the deposit before the reveal, many dealers will be happy to take your money, and you'll be the first in line to have your configuration built.

I have same excitement here. I will likely replace the Taycan GTS ST with this Cayenne EV.

I'll likely put that deposit down and order a base or S. The estimated cost is that the base will start at the current cost of the Cayenne E-Hybrid.

I'm more curious about the local preview date. Typically, the pre-production cars are distributed across dealers for their customers to preview (not test drive). Dealers usually invite their most interested customers in for the preview night.

Thanks for the reply! :)

I'm thinking of ordering the same thing. I expect the price to be the same as the E-hybrid, and will likely order a base as well. This will be a family hauler for me so I don't need the extra power tbh.

I am a bit worried about the price, but after the financial report from Porsche I find it hard to believe that they would overprice the Cayenne EV over the ICE, especially with the depreciation factor.
