For me this video shows exactly why I cannot support a company like that, and I think many others feel the same.

Elon’s vision is correct - his execution is deeply flawed - and suffers a common problem with very smart engineers - he can “see” the solution - it’s sooo clear - he then grossly under-estimates execution costs & duration - now I both love and hate Elon and at the moment in the 50/50 split I’m slight more negative than I used to be and he should probably be reigned in cause his vision and lack of execution is boarding on a societal level negative since less well informed people have more trouble sorting fact from fiction from vision…

but at the moment he’s a net detriment and should probably be censured at some level until he can prove a more reasonable track record of execution vs. almost bald face lies…

it upsets me greatly Elon hasn’t shown any growth or maturity as he has gained experience with vistion vs. execution - he has sooo much potential to be a net positive vs. him putting his foot in his mouth un-necessarily - if he just focused on what he executes he is still light years ahead of industry trends and common rates of progress and innovation…

just be quiet and quit telling us what you’re “going to do” - tell us what you’ve done and the press will still be as effusive cause it’s still way more than “the other guys”.

I agree. I really wanted to like him because I respect the positive change he's driven. But when a cult of personality / ego like his goes unchecked for too long, bad things can happen. The way he knowing manipulates his own stock price and that of many cryptocurrencies is unbelievable. And unethical. Probably immoral as well. I'm looking forward to upstarts like Lucid and Rivian chewing on one end of his market share while existing companies like VW/Porsche, MB and Ford eat it from the other side.

I agree with the previous two posts, he’s like a real-life Hank Scorpio. But the LOL to me is the people that keep believing him/taking him at face value, ponying up $$$ for things like FSD, etc. that for most won’t be a thing before the car’s in someone else’s hands.

Elon should throw in a free Magfast Charger bundle with every FSD “investment”. In my opinion they’ll both be ready around the same time.

I bought a model S 4 years ago and they were offering FSD at that time. To be fair to the sales lady, she told me it wasn't likely to be ready and she didn't push it at all. Since then, he's offered it at a deep discount 2-3 times (I think 3-4k vs 7k or similar). Unethical at best.

I am a Tesla and Space X fan - the vision and effort to get both of these organizations to where they are is impressive. That being said, I can't stand Elon Musk, so I will never buy another Tesla as long as he is still associated with Tesla and has an active Twitter account.

We can all hope that he is on the first Space X flight to Mars.

Maybe I'm just tired of clients asking "what is this 'doggy coin'?? Why am I not in it?!? Musk says it's ...." ??

I'm still waiting for my FSD which was always "almost ready". My auto-wipers have been in beta for years as well.

I also put a deposit on the fancy roof tiles. Never heard a thing except for one phone call about some other style of tile I didn't want in 4 years. Took me about 2 months or more to get my money back finally.

If you know that Elon has Asperger syndrome (he admitted that recently in the Tonight Show or something like that) you'd probably understand why he is acting like this.
He can't relate to other people's feelings, living in his own world but is probably also the key to his succes.

Still, I don't want a Tesla although the new Model S is looking better than before.

There's no such thing as FSD cuz it would mean you can go to sleep and wake up at your destination without intervention of a human being.

Yes he has some good visions and yes he is probably carrying the burden of Aspergers, but.. all these false unethical promises and scams did not happen by accident. He is making money and business with selling whatever he can think of. He knows exactly what he’s doing. His business model is hype. That’s what the vast majority wants to see and hear. That’s why Tesla is the most valuable car maker in the world, even though there isn’t much to back that. Millions and millions of dollars literally scammed out of peoples hands. It is like a cult. Many of his follows prove that.

he has moved the goal posts too many times, he's made too many promises that have not and cannot be kept. he has literally screwed many owners with battery gate, changing pricing, diminished range, diminished supercharging speeds. with all these new EVs coming to the market tesla may not be the best choice for an EV.
