My PC was extremely convinced it's OTA. I can't believe an update that like would be possible for Porsche, so we have to wait until mid August for a definite answer.

Just talked to my Porsche Center. They said the update of the PCM should come OTA. That is his latest info. I told them that I've seen people say they made appointments at their dealer, but they said no "as far as we now it is fully OTA and the dealer only needs to step in if there are any issues".

My buddy has his early 21 Taycan at the dealer for an issue right now and he was told that they did a PCM update. He forgot to ask if it really was the new PCM version. His car has already done all recalls and was just recently in the Shop. So there is still hope.

Not in a million years would this update be hardware restricted. Colored icons and Spotify? It would be the greatest bullcrap ever pulled. Especially if it would mean people with a month old Taycan would be left out. I say it again, let’s calm our horses and wait. We all know how slow Porsche is...

Cannot wait for Porsche to finally announce either that everyone is getting the update or nobody and it's just new cars. Just to get all this hard speculation out of the thread.

The more I read about this update the more I think that er will be getting it. It’s a waiting game.

Reading a current German article on the update, it is very clearly phrased that Taycans in general will get this update. Also I remember months ago when they made a small announcement about PCM 6, that they specifically mentioned all Taycans will get the update. But, Porsche could still surprise...

Well, seems like nobody cares. Everyone made their mind up that Porsche won’t update anyone’s car and it’s just Porsche bashing after Porsche bashing. I too think it would be a huge fuck up if they don’t Update older models, but so far we have zero evidence of their actual plans…

Well, people seem to already know the update isn’t coming for older Taycans. Please link the source… Just wait for an official statement instead of already talking about how to sell your outdated cars.

Man, early in this thread I was still optimistic that Porsche will update our 20s and 21s. Now at page 10 I don’t know if Porsche even wants to know that we exist ?. Every single Taycan has PCM 6. Quite a while ago Porsche said we were/are beta testing until the final PCM 6.0 gets rolled out...

Let’s wait and see. Lots of speculation going on here. One guy says he does not own a Taycan but seems to know that only MY22 are getting the update. Please, let’s calm down and wait a couple weeks…

Porsche has stated in the older article on PCM 6.0 that the older Taycans will receive the update. Wireless Android Auto might be hardware (I have no clue), but the rest of the Features can easily be rolled out to all of us. It would be the worst decision ever to not do that ?
