Hi team, I was advised by my dealer my Cayenne completion day would be 03/12. When I told him I will leave for xmas holidays on the 18th of Dec, he shared that the timing had good chance to match and I could count on delivery before then. It sounds very optimistic to me, what do you guys think? Thanks

(2) green light for production 27/10 -
(3) now the work can begin 27/11

with delivery estimated 23/12-31/12 if that helps

Just check and have approx the same. Would be surprised if 18th dec the car was delivered. Not sure why the dealer would be that optimistic here

My spec cutoff date is the 12th Oct with car expected at dealers on the 16th Dec, I'd say you were very tight to get it for the 18th.

I've reported on my build delays in earlier posts... Quick Summary:

VIN was provided to me - 19/08 (added to app. Worked but later had issues so removed VIN)
Estimated Build Completion - 25/08 (build delayed until October)
Estimated Dealership Arrival 15/09 (new estimated dealership arrival November)

I had removed the VIN from the app and accepted I should just be patient. However, out of curiosity I added the VIN to the app again this morning and voila my Cayenne appears in the app. I was also sent to MYPorsche.com where I could technically activate and start my 10 Year Connect Services (which obviously I didn't do)...

Anyway... is it not strange that I have a VIN for a vehicle that right at the last minute never got built and that I could in theory activate services for a vehicle that doesn't exist. Or does it?

Coincidentally, yesterday I did ask the dealership for more information and to find out what actually caused this latest delay. They were supposed to do this 2 weeks ago

I'm sure it's just a case of delays between systems speaking to each other. My actual build must have been pulled very last minute

Yay car has arrived in Sheerness overnight ! Now let’s see how long it take from there to London ! I suspect longer than it took from the factory to Sheetness

I made my trusty friend, Claude, trawl through this and other forums to summarise a stage by stage situation of what Porsche usually says vs what happens incl comparison to mine. Obv ymmv. Thought I’ll post here for anyone curious

Milestone 7 today !

Milestone 1 - order received - 5th Jan
Milestone 2 - green light for production (build lock date) - 7th July
Milestone 3 - Now work can begin - 27th Aug
Milestone 4 - prep for delivery / documents prepared - 9th Sept
Milestone 5 - arrived at port (emden) 16th sept
Milestone 6 - left port (ship: Neptune PHOS)- 17th sept
Milestone 7 - Your Porsche has arrived at local entry port - 21st Sept (ship arrived 19th)

And finally some engagement from the dealer.... They emailed to tell me the car had left Emden, to which i replied , i know its in Sheerness !!

Over to them know to get it pushed out of Sheerness and into the garage a bit pronto, but almost home !

Somehow my car has miraculously managed to find its way through the system and on to a boat, heading to the UK shores "vehicle on Vessel"

How does this happen.!? I'm finding the whole process quite comical by now... I've gone from delayed to November from July and now on its way.

I'm still sceptical there's been an error and its not actually going to be at the dealership by next week...

Guess i didn't need to have bothered with the Temporary Macan It's very nice though!

I have managed to add the vehicle to the tracking app now that I have the VIN, but I can't see the milestones/ tracking data. I assume that you need a separate Track Your Dream email? My dealer is telling me that it is not available for the Cayenne EV in the UK... but curious to see why some people have it.

I believe this requires dealer input to activate it. I kicked up and made a fuss when mine wouldnt work and mysteriously it started working. Also worth making sure you have the latest update on the app.

I've seen rumors it wasn't available on early orders, but don't believe that's true as i ordered last December !

I don't have Track Your Dream. Also told its not available on early orders.
