No idea unfortunately.

Is this your insurers requirement or other?

Dealer supply and fit in July was £ 750. The 2026 upgraded tracker is now an immobiliser too - the car will not engage forward or reverse if you don’t have the fob.

Yep, it is the same one but getting the dealer to fit it negates any problems with electrical gremlins and warranty.

I’m with Admiral on a multicar policy. My BMW XM is £1150 this year. Full year on the Cayenne S is £600.

I will never understand the insurance industry pricing!

Yeah it's random. I have multicar too but deliberately got a quote that wasn't part of that. Ill see what changes in December when I need to insure. This will then be a vehicle change halfway through the renewal year which may not alter the existing premium by much.

The only difference I can see (and this may be wrong) is that the detail says the centre will immobilise but in the general detail it says it will immobilise. I can’t find anywhere the Porsche fitted one can have the immobilisation is optional.

Even if I’d known I could save £ 300 I would still have gone with the dealer fitted one to avoid any discussions about it causing issues - real or not.

It seems to me that Admiral have decided to become far more competitive this year. My multicar & house insurance reduced by £ 800 when I swapped the Macan 4S for the Cayenne base. If it was just the switch it must have meant they were insuring the Cayenne for free !
