The EV6 GT, which is due this year, looks a VERY interesting alternative.

I’ve seen a number of Polestar 2’s on the road and I agree, they do look a lot better in the flesh. I think they look cracking and the dual motor offers very good performance at a very competitive price.

I was dead against the Mach e being crowned a Mustang, but you know what, I’m over that now. I think it’s a great looking car and the GT looks bonkers. Can’t get my head round the look of the front seats though. Not sure on the interior as a whole tbf.

If my lease company don’t pull their finger out, I will be 100% ordering one of these options, as the Taycan will be out of reach, given the leasers increased pricing.

I keep telling my BF that the Mach-E is probably the best option, but he does not like the fact they used the name Mustang in an EV, lol. So there's that. Stupid first world problems.
That's one hell of a hill to die on. This man has convictions!

A lot
The Kia EV6 is car of the year in my country.
With the GT it's just going to be hilarious that you'll beat Lambos and Ferraris in............a Kia. ?

I think this is the time when we start to view the Korean brands in a new light.

I now think of them as the automotive equivalent of a Samsung phone.

Right up there with the class leaders (Apple / Tesla).

Did you drive the ID.4 AWD, or RWD? The difference in power and even handling is pretty remarkable. The AWD is a whole different (and much better) vehicle. Its suspension seems even better sorted than in the RWD (and I really did like that about the RWD), and it finally has much more torque and HP, which the chassis deserves. I still hate the temperature and volume controls being capacitive and having no backlight...

Previous I-Pace owner. I agree its an incredible machine, but its in a the luxury segment of EVs and over $70k. The driving dynamics and steering are never talked about. To me its the best EV after the J1 brothers
PS Love the portofino blue!

Ive driven all of those and the Polestar is the most fun, but a bigger reason to get the P2 is the Lease program. They have a very attractive lease, no dealer mark ups.
EV6/Ioniq5 do not give you the $7500 as cap reduction for in the lease which is very strange.

Keep it under $55k for the $2k CVRP rebate, you will also get the $750 POS rebate from the dealers
The lease program exactly, one hell of a deal.

RWD, looking for affordable, so we test drove the one we would get as a second car.

He does! and he knows it's probably the best EV for a second car, and he likes the car, it's just the whole Mustang name.

Ignoring the design, the tesla 3 is hard to beat value-for-money speaking. Lots of feature are standard on the Tesla's that cost extra at the competitors. Resale value is high. And (at least in europe) the supercharger system still has a lot of value.
If you really do not want a Tesla, I recommend a car with a 800V based system. Only Tesla and the 800V systems really charge fast. It is more future proof.
If the Taycan is too expensive, only the EV6 or Ioniq5 work at 800V.

Ioniq 5 looks way cooler than the EV6. Did you guys skip Hyundai for a reason?
Love that retro pixel LED look. Seen quite a few in the Bay Area to my surprise.

I do not want to go back to Tesla. Bad fit and finish, awful customer service, and there's seven Model 3 in every block. I agree with the fact IONIQ 5 and EV6 due to the 800V and fast charge are the clear champions.
