Made in Europe :CWL: Assembled in Europe would be more appropriate for batteries.

The Taycan battery issue is a problem with the cells themselves which are not made by Porsche. The modules are assembly of cells. Porsche assembles the modules in house. I have no idea how many of the module components Porsche makes in house. Cells are about 50% cost of a battery pack.

There are many cars, especially Chinese, where they simply purchase the entire battery pack from CATL or equivalent and the motors with integrated inverter from Borg Warner, et al. Same with suspension and brake modules and the interior bits. Software is also outsourced sometimes. Basically these companies are engineering squads, building bodies, doing final assembly, marketing and distribution.
