The EQS SUV does not have a frunk, so I assume the EQE SUV doesn’t either?

I took my friend‘s EQS SUV for a short ride and it was very plush and quiet, especially compared to my latest Model X. I am not sure if many people actually cross shop a MB GLE/EQE SUV with a Macan/EV. While both are soccer dads/moms cars, the Porsche variant is more aggressive in styling and driving dynamics, and likely with less storage/cargo space all around compared to the MB variant.
You are correct, no frunk in the MB EQE. It does however have a nifty trap door storage compartment underneath the floor in the back. Quite spacious actually -- would have been a perfect place for MB to put a spare tire (but those seem to be completely out of fashion these days). The MB is only a few inches longer than the current Macan, so I suspect that a Macan EV with frunk will come pretty close to the MB's overall cargo space. Interesting that you describe the Macan as "more aggressive" in terms of styling, I just think it looks a whole lot cooler than the MB (which, if rebadged, could easily pass for a Nissan).

I’m surprised at the comments that the EQ series scream “look at me I have money”. I’d recently cross shopped the Taycan with an EQS and my son thought the EQS was a Corolla (he didn’t know what a Corolla is but he said it looks like his grandads car!). Pretty nondescript, especially in non-AMG guise and under a layer of dirt.

Of course I ended up with a Taycan, but if I were looking for a family hauler suv I’d probably go with the EQE/EQS. Yea probably not as fun to drive but the EQS was amazingly comfortable compared to the Taycan and the interior imo just felt better. I’d probably take that for long family trips and the like.

Ultimately its down to what you’re looking for and what you prioritize. I have another family hauler SUV so a “fun” car was more important to me.

I had a BMW iX M60, my personal one had some issues, which may have been due to it being parked in an overflow lot in Germany for 4 months. That said, it is a much better vehicle all around than the MB, handling, comfort, luxury with the upgraded leather, and overall tech integration. It also bests its EPA rating and does well at US freeway speeds. Not sure I will purchase another BMW for awhile, we only kept the iX for 2 months, had Tesla like phantom braking on mine, but I would choose it over the EQS/EQE.

That's correct. None of the MB EVs have a frunk nor a hood that should be opened by the driver.
Speaking about frunk: in 18 months, I opened it twice. On a first day (actually salesman opened it) and when i refilled water.

I have both taycan and eqs suv. They are to different car for different purposes can not be compared. Eqs suv doesn’t look good but overall much better than their sedan. The only problem is that Eqs doesn’t have heat pump so on winter only gives 230 miles with heater on. Eqe suv will be the 1st one has heat pump and disconnect clutch to boost the range like taycan does.

overall taycan is a good sport car, eqs suv is a good family car. Can't speak for Macan but from my loaner experience both Porsche suvs I drove, I won’t spend money on either of them. Suv will never be like a sport car. Why pay extra on a Porsche suv.

Disclaimer: We have had a few MB's over the years and now that we are a Porsche family (EV and ICE) we always tend to feel sorry for, if not take pity upon, the misguided people who drive MB's -- so take my 5 minute, highly prejudiced, EQE review with a grain of salt.
Back to the MB gulag?

I really like the EQE SUV and would like to buy on, but not available. Also the battery is simply too small when compare with the coming Polestar 3 with 111kWh. The Chinese EQE has 96.1 kWh. Slightly better but still no step forward.

We just picked up an EQE SUV for my wife. I knew nothing about it before hand, though I was somewhat familiar with the EQS SUV. We actually were considering that but the numbers didn't work for us even though there are some good incentives on them.

I like the EQE. Exterior styling is.... doughy... pillowy? But most of us are. The interior is nice. It drives nicely but I'd suspect a Macan would be more sporty - we also didn't buy it for its sportiness. The range is good enough for us.

Prefer to wait for the Macan SUV or Audi Q6 with larger battery and new EV platform. I like the EQE, but I guess the new Macan will look even better.

The only Problem is the software. For EU, the Merc Software is top notch. I don't think Porsche can match that anytime soon...

MBUX is light years ahead of the PCM.
