Have never been a muscle car guy and probably never will

Edit: fake exhaust noise sounded awful imo but interior design is a lot better than what they currently have now

How is an electric car not relevant?

I'm definitely a muscle car guy. I have a '67 Mustang and am just finishing up a build of a Factory Five Mk4 roadster (Shelby Cobra replica). On those forums, there's a lot of angst and hate toward EV's by some. I can definitely see a car like this moving the needle toward EV adoption among some in that crowd, particularly those that need their car to make "vroom vroom" noises to be considered a real car.

Anyone notice the 'not so subtly' coded feature names for the Banshee like:

And FRAT Zone electronic exhaust? ?

This is about as subtle marketing to their target market as the WTF (Watts to FREEDOM) mode in the Hummer EV

Not really a muscle car person, but I don't hate the exterior styling. The fake exhaust does about as much for me as Tessa's fart noises. I much prefer the speeder noise produced by the Taycan. However, the more variety there is in EVs the better I say :)

Cool looking car, though, it's targeting a market that doesn't really want EVs. Muscle car people tend to want to have the noise and feel of a V8 engine, many want YOU to know they have a big loud V8.

Not a huge fan of the whole muscle car ethos, but if this can move the Overton window further towards EV adoption among that crowd, I’d welcome it with open arms. ?

I can't even lie, this looks REALLY cool. Would I get a Dodge over a Porsche? Of course not. But this is refreshing new taste on EVs as a concept and I can't wait to see more of this. I for one think the exhaust sound is cool! 126 dB is ridiculous but I see what they're getting at.

I am a muscle car guy and had a Hellcat before my Taycan and I like this car a lot. I wouldn't get rid of my Taycan for it of course, but I might have one alongside it. I'll need to see what the final car looks and sounds like, bc yes, I miss a good exhaust sound too. If this car can bridge both, then I'm all for it. Good job Dodge/Stelantis!

Love the looks, but the tone of the reveal was positively prehistoric. “The aero is crap, but we don’t care”, “EV’s suck so we’re going to give you one as comforting as a La-Z-Boy and a TV table”! I haven’t cringed so much since the Cybertruck rolled on stage almost 3 years ago. 126 db of fake noise! Thank god, the world was getting too quiet. WTF x 100.

Dodge is definitely thinking inside the box with this one.

To be fair, they are targeting a prehistoric audience (in automotive terms) with this car, so yeah... the delivery was about perfect. ;) Nobody wants their electric muscle car to be too "woke," I guess.

I'd like to know how they are able to rev the electric motors, but I'd bet it's just part of the mp3 that gets amped. Personally, I am waiting for someone to make a" dragster doing burnouts" sound.
Bet the cops would love that!
