I wish car journalists would not compare EV to EV only. When i decide about a new car nowadays, i want to get the best car for the miney ( best confort. Handling etc.), the type of energy where the power comes from is not the primary factor any more…

No petrol or diesel can’t make the silky smooth power delivery or the kind of acceleration an EV offers when it’s like for like power so only my opinion but where the power comes from makes a huge difference to the overall experience.

I would agree with you, but the hybrids (for example the Revuelto) including the new 922.2 T-hybrid is getting there to be honest. Hybridization integrated in the ICE is really getting to next level quality in both smooth acceleration and power output.

They really aren’t, nothing with an engine and gearbox controlling the wheels can ever match the smoothness of an electric motor or its instant torque.
