He also said it drives very Taycan like and this is good. He gets a lot of flack for his reviews being so long winded but I must say he at least spends a small amount of time discussing chassis dynamics from a driving enthusiasts' point of view. Whereas basically every other reviewer will only talk about aesthetics or how they can't stand having to adjust mirrors via software or how smooth the ride is. My favorite from every other reviewer is when they nail the throttle and make a surprised expression and say "wow". Come on man! All EV's are frigging fast. The base Cayenne is what 4.5s to 60 mph?
Super impressive for sure. And as we all agree, quite pricy too. But as Kyle noted, it is the one vehicle that can do it all. Want something efficient, capable of towing over 7500 pounds, roomy, Porsche quality (handling, steering, braking, suspension), fast enough for daily use and optionally blindingly fast in the turbo version., great off road capability., etc.
But will it sell after us first Porsche fan boys/girls get ours in year one? Will the average EV buyer pay tens of thousands of dollars more for the entry Cayenne EV compared to the new iX3 — the latter having even greater range? That is only something we will know a year or two down the road. Also we want to know about its 4S version, that becoming the Cayenne EV’s sweet spot? How about its coupe version looks?
Lots of fun things yet to learn and experience. My wife and I are looking forward to more Cayenne EV answers, pictures, and specs. This is our current computer wallpaper…
