The extra power in the 911 was noticeable, while the extra size/weight wasn’t, at least not to me anyway (not that I’m any kind of expert). Or, at least whatever extra size/weight there was didn’t bother me any.
And that was one of the main things I wanted to look at; I didn’t want to get a...
Yes we did. Food was good, but not enough to make it a destination restaurant. I.e., I probably wouldn’t go if it was just a restaurant on the street. I don’t want to undersell it either. For sure worth eating at if you’re there.
The view really adds to it though. We ate at 11:30 and got...
Yeah, I though about doing the 2-day introductory course. But I thought PEC would be a good place to start, especially since part of this was to compare the cars. I’ll review it again next year.
Thanks!
I credit my coach for any of my successes as well. He did a great job of stepping me through things and trying something different if it wasn’t working.
In general, if you have a choice, without the younger ones is easier than with. That was my original plan. ?
But, everyone was really nice to...
Yeah, mine was. I talked to him for a while about that and racing in general before and after my second session. Lots of helpful information.
Welcoming is an awesome way to describe.
No one I talked to seemed like they were just workers there for a job. Everyone seemed to really love being...
Not exactly Taycan related, but maybe of interest.
I went to PEC Atlanta today, partially for my birthday (38 tomorrow) and partially to test drive cars since they’re MIA at the dealership.
Plans:
I had a 9am session in a 718 Cayman S and a 2pm session in a 911 Carrera S. I intentionally...
My youngest got a lego set for his birthday.
It came with an EV.
Here it is built:
I took a look at the instrument cluster to see how it compared to the Taycan:
Pretty sure that’s a tach on the right…
We’ll pretend it’s a battery temp gauge.
As long as I’m posting pics…
…it also came...
-No issues with login
-not sure what favorites you’re referring to.
- I’ve never received a satellite antenna message. I also don’t use satellite radio though.
- don’t use car nav. Occasionally pull up the map just to have it on, but otherwise don’t use
- don’t use Apple Music.

I have to agree with @Mike in CA. I’ve had numerous loaner Macans, as recently as 2 months ago when we were getting PPF on the Taycan. We have a 2021 Cayenne loaner right now while our Taycan is in for the recall update (since Thursday…?).
But I don’t notice anything inferior in our Taycan...
While I understand that your statement is just hyperbole, I have to point out that it makes no sense to say the car accelerates at “light speed” as that’s not a unit of acceleration…
Good effort though.
And if your think that’s just semantics and I’m missing the point…maybe you should...
It is smaller than the Panamera, but not by much. But it does definitely feel much smaller than the Panamera while driving.
Panamera vs Taycan
Taycan vs 911
Just for fun…Ram 2500 vs Elise
Yes, “gasoline savings”. Which, in addition to what you point out, probably evaporate pretty quickly if you’re coming from an EV…
FWIW, I don’t think I could be bored enough to go test drive a Model 3.
I guess I’ll just refrain from calling myself a “car person”.
I’m stating numbers for normal w/ AC (not eco). I posted a pic on Sun of charging to 100% w/335 miles, but it was cheating ? showing range mode with AC off. But it was still well over 300 in normal with AC.
I have a 4S+ with 20” sport aero wheels, so I would guess similar to yours. The car was...
