A Taycan Owner Buys a Tesla: Informal Battle of Two (Very Different) EVs!

GT3 (and other ICE Porsche cars) have a PCM, car play, etc. many of the same things. No? I’m not sure I completely understand the distinction.

A Taycan Owner Buys a Tesla: Informal Battle of Two (Very Different) EVs!

I love Raspberry Pi’s! I have like 10 laying on my desk at work right now. Current shortages suck. I’ve been migrating to odroid C4 in the interim. Sorry. Off topic.

A Taycan Owner Buys a Tesla: Informal Battle of Two (Very Different) EVs!

I think you’re just looking for things to be angry about at this point. But if I’m wrong and the search bar sometimes coming up in German is this troubling to you, then you really have the complete wrong car.

Mustang Mach e GT (v Taycan RWD)

I cross-shopped a Taycan Turbo with a Lotus Elise. It all depends on how much you don’t know what you want.

    Lotus Eletre

I agree. That’s my biggest concern with Lotus as well. Not only the lack of dealerships but the stability of the dealerships, especially due to the low volume. I’ve seen them come and go around me. Although, I will note that at the time that I had one, I did not have any issues with my...

Porsche 718 / 983 Boxster / Cayman EV Sports Car Announced For 2025 Launch

It’s not going to compete with the Tesla Roadster. It’s going to be competing with cars that exist.

Porsche Artificially Limiting 0-60 on RWD and CT4?

I’m not saying they aren’t software limiting the motor torque anywhere below capacities, but I’m pretty sure there are different motors and inverters across the range.

    Happy New Year

Sorry…I only know English and only just barely. ? Although, I did used to travel with a guy named Tim a lot and I liked to blame him for things and would always at least learn how to do that in the language of the country we were visiting. So…I can say “It’s Tim’s fault,” in like 5...

"Can EV chargers act like gas stations? That won’t be easy" Article

Maybe. Depends on what role gov’t plays. I actually think it may be the opposite. But first, a quick story. A number of years ago, when I was around 34, my company offered me a deferred compensation plan. It would vest at 55. I declined. The reason was that, at 21 years away, I couldn't...

"Can EV chargers act like gas stations? That won’t be easy" Article

I mostly disagree with this. The issue for me is location and convenience when I’m not at home. A bit like saying we don’t need many restaurants because most people have kitchens. We don’t need public wifi because most people have wifi at home. Okay, both somewhat poor analogies (restaurants...

"Can EV chargers act like gas stations? That won’t be easy" Article

Agreed. Not necessary on CCS specifically (don’t have experience or preference), but on standardizing it. ???

"Can EV chargers act like gas stations? That won’t be easy" Article

Mystery Pricing - it’s going to be more confusing if people end up being charged by kW, kWh, and hours. But each potentially has a reason. It seems like we’d have to get closer to gas stations where all cars can basically fill at the same rate and it’s all fast enough and there are enough...

Help me, I don't know which car to ask Santa for [GT4 RS or Emira?]

I had an Elise in ‘05 and almost replaced it with a Cayman in ‘06. [I’m the taller one…] I had a similar dilemma recently as the 718, 911, and Emira were all on my short list (decided on 911). I really loved my Elise. The weight and size in the Emira seems really high, such that if I went in...

I don’t see anything that suggests it can do that. https://files.porsche.com/filestore/download/multimedia/none/e-performance-faq-wall-charger-connect-row/default/a5d54b9f-19bd-11eb-80cf-005056bbdc38/Porsche-Wall-Charger-Connect-Operating-and-Installation-Manual.pdf
