Yes! I have learned a lot from Kyle over the years, inlcuding to disregard more than a few of his unique decisions.

Half the fun of watching Kyle is seeing him patronise any woman he interacts with. A few years ago he was with his girlfriend at the time, Alyssa, and she was visibly annoyed and just slammed the door of the car on him. 😂

This video could have been an article!

All he does is stand and talk to the camera for 30 minutes! He doesn’t even open the door.

Are there really people that prefer to consume content this way? I read the transcript in 5 minutes (painful as it was to read through a stream of consciousness narration).

This channel does a lot of content like this really, I don't like it either. Some of the content is Kyle just rambling on for 1 hour+, while the actual content is 10 mimutes :p

Agreed, most videos are too long. Here's a TLDW (too long did not watch) summary of the video - via AI

1. Scope of the 10,000-Mile Test
  • Configurations Tested: Evaluated all body styles (SUV and Coupe) and all three drivetrain options (Base, S, and Turbo).
  • Workload & Demands: The team subjected the test vehicle (primarily the Cayenne Turbo) to rigorous conditions:
    • Towed a Pebble RV for 3,500 miles near the vehicle’s maximum payload capacity.
    • Driven repeatedly on salt flats, track circuits, off-road trails, and multi-state highway road trips, taking the battery pack from 100% to 0% continuously.
    • Repeated 0–60 mph launches and track testing of the active ride system.
2. Trim Comparison & Buyer’s Recommendations
  • Cayenne Base EV (~$100,000–$125,000 as tested):
    • Pros: Excellent road-tripping efficiency, fast DC charging times, smooth daily operation, and low noise levels.
    • Cons: Lacks excitement off the line (~5.0s 0–60 mph). Lacks high-end option availability (no optional Active Ride suspension, rear-axle steering, or top performance modes).
    • Verdict: Great for quiet daily commutes, but feels de-contented for a $100k+ Porsche.
  • Cayenne S EV (The Recommended "Sweet Spot"):
    • Adds direct oil-cooled rear motors and a noticeable jump in horsepower.
    • Strikes the ideal balance of real-world speed, feature options, and value without needing to spend $200k+ for the Turbo trim.
    • Body Style Note: The host explicitly prefers the traditional SUV body over the Coupe variant, citing superior practical headroom and cargo utility.
  • Cayenne Turbo EV ($230,000+ high-spec as tested):
    • Performance: High 2-second 0–60 mph launches despite its ~6,000 lb curb weight.
    • Track Endurance: Includes specialized GT/race-car track telemetry software and battery pre-chilling systems that allow sustained hot-laps without thermal throttling.
    • Verdict: Unmatched performance breadth, but only recommended if money is no object or if extreme track/towing performance is required.
3. Range, Efficiency & Charging Performance
  • Battery Architecture: Uses a 108 kWh usable battery pack shared across all variants.
  • Highway Range:
    • At a steady 70 mph cruise on base wheels, the Cayenne Base logged 340+ miles of real-world range, nearly matching larger-battery competitors (e.g., Lucid Gravity Grand Touring).
  • Charging Speeds & Thermal Management:
    • 10% to 80% Fast Charge: Achieved in roughly 15 minutes on 800V DC fast chargers.
    • Thermal Robustness: Pre-conditions and chills the battery aggressively when navigating to chargers. It maintained repeatable charging curves even after back-to-back heavy highway runs and heavy towing sessions.
    • 10% Challenge Metric: Outperformed almost every all-wheel-drive Taycan tested, yielding up to 200 miles of highway range at 80 mph added in 15 minutes of charging.
4. Driving Dynamics & Active Ride Suspension
  • Porsche Active Ride System:
    • Uses 4 electro-hydraulic damper motors capable of disconnecting anti-roll stiffness in real time to float over uneven terrain, while instantly stiffening to eliminate body roll, pitch, and dive during hard cornering or braking.
    • Rough Road Performance: Highly effective at eliminating cabin head-toss and jostle over severe bumps or unpaved driveways.
  • Towing Capability:
    • Rated for 7,700 lbs of towing capacity.
    • Demonstrates rock-solid high-speed chassis control and heat management while pulling heavy loads up elevation.
5. Interior & Software Experience
  • Convenience Highlights:
    • Instant drive readiness—starts moving as soon as the driver enters the vehicle without delay.
    • Premium material construction, optional electrochromic glass sunroof (matte-to-clear segments), optional passenger display screen, and available high-end Burmester audio setup.
  • Software Bugs & Annoyances:
    • Early press cars experienced missing driver-assistance modules, ping-ponging lane control, and an inability to add lane-centering via over-the-air (OTA) updates.
    • Intermittent software glitches: Units flipping between BAR and PSI for tire pressure display, audio resetting to Eco mode, and driver-monitoring warnings triggering erroneously while navigating open roads.
    • Software functionality lags behind point-to-point assistance solutions from competitors like Tesla or Rivian.
6. Ownership & Value Analysis
  • Pros:
    • Wide performance envelope: Capable of 7,700 lb towing, high-speed road trips, track laps, and smooth everyday commuting.
    • Class-leading thermal endurance and fast-charging repeatability.
    • Outstanding real-world efficiency for a full-size luxury EV SUV.
  • Cons:
    • Extremely high base and option pricing compared to non-luxury EV alternatives.
    • Unpredictable long-term EV depreciation risks (similar to the Taycan market).
    • Software glitches and dealer service cost variances across regional Porsche Centers.
