- 2022 Taycan 4S

Where did Porsche ever say the Taycan’s range was 320 miles?
320 Kilometers maybe?Where did Porsche ever say the Taycan’s range was 320 miles?
When I picked up my car in early 2021 – the official EU range was 333 km – though getting 390km - 410km soon became trivial.320 Kilometers maybe?
New update said 308-315miles320 Kilometers maybe?
Nowhere does Porsche claim that. Best EPA rating is 246 miles. Best AMCI claim is 275.New update said 308-315miles
Maybe OP should have bought a Mission E then. ?With the Mission E Porsche claimed over 300miles
You’re talking about the concept car? That’s irrelevant. With the Mission E Porsche claimed over 300miles
The Taycan 4S (2021) is my fourth new Porsche over the last 12 years (two Caymans, a Macan); I've never had anywhere near the number of issues as with this car. I am also searching for something to replace it, but I am struggling to find a good EV replacement. I think the EQE or EQE SUV is a decent choice; the looks aren't great, and charging (on road trips) will be slower, but I think it might be worth trying. The problem with that one is that there is a wait (some say 1+ years) for the Hyperscreen. I might check out the BMW.I would say I expected service to be better for an expensive car, but I also have no real faith in dealers.
That said, it seems like dealing with Porsche directly is actually worse than dealing with dealers from what I’ve read here.
of course I realize there’s sampling bias on the forum, and like someone else said, the main thing is- I don’t really know what a better alternative is right now:
- Cancelled my lucid order due to the amount of people having their cars have terrible failures even at low production #s (plus all the bro-y shilling that makes it hard to get a good read on actual experiences unbiased by stock ownership)
- The EQS is fugly, and I’ve had bad experiences in my family’s Benz’s after a few years
- No Teslas for a variety of reasons
- Polestars seem fairly solid actually, but I wish I liked their styling more. Also way different class of cars
- Someone mentioned the I-pace here. Maybe I should look into it further, though I anecdotally got stranded on the left lane of a busy highway in a friends jaguar once so I have bad brand association
- I guess like someone mentioned, all cars can suck
EQS is ugly (not as bad in person), but as a long time EV owner I believe it’s the best option among premium and luxury EVs. Hands down the best ride, NVH on par with a RR, and arguably the best software too. Range is among the longest available. Lastly the trip planner is up there with Tesla. Reviewers that really know EVs inside and out seem to be echoing this.I would say I expected service to be better for an expensive car, but I also have no real faith in dealers.

I’m seeing 400 miles range at 70 mph and 31 minute 10-80% charge (inside EVs) for the EQS and 305 miles, 21 minute 10-80% for the Taycan. The Taycan 4S (2021) is my fourth new Porsche over the last 12 years (two Caymans, a Macan); I've never had anywhere near the number of issues as with this car.
