I'm invited to a Porsche event on Wednesday to check out the new Cayenne EV. If anyone has anything they'd like me to check out, let me know.

Seats please. Sports seems same as in Macan, would like opinion on comfort if possible.

Didn’t get invite from my dealer in London.
I got 3 (!) - Silverstone, Perth and Glasgow (random I know). Too much effort so ain't bothering and will wait til test drive time.

My Aberdeen dealer is offering free Porsche wallbox, installation and 2 free Experience Days on any new EV order...sign of the shifting times!

Good to know, have still 2 track days remaining from previous electric Macans 😂 Deal for Cayenne got grandfathered from first Macan EV purchase last December. They were eager to sell stock before end year so don’t think they will throw in much more freebies.

I'm invited on 8 december at 19h to see both version (basic and turbo), Belgium. will take some pictures and post them here.

Coupé version is coming in March 26 :( - cost + 3,5% vs standard suv version.

I would like you to check for the leather interior quality. Is it the same as the Cayenne/Taycan/Macan or any difference?
Heard from reviews that it might be a bit stiff which also made me consider the “half” leather option. Pepita not available yet it seems.

Please also check for the handles in the middle console if possible? Is it easy to get a grip while driving and are they covered in leather like the ICE or is it just plastic? Does the leather include the Ferry pad as well?

Stort tack för all hjälp!

Same as current Macan. I've never been a fan of the 14-ways and I'm still not. Allthough I'm 6'5 and slim so I really prefer the narrower seat you can create with the 18-way.

Haven't driven the Macan EV that much, but I own a Taycan (GTS, so Racetex/leather interior) and the quality seems comparable, as in high end. Didn't feel that stiff to me, but it's brand new so everything is tight and nice as you'd expect.

The interior handles are there by design reference only, it's not somwhere you naturally grab. Which for me is a plus. I always found the Cayenne interior to be a bit industrial or rough and not refined like in a Panamera or 911. This has changed. The new interior is very high end and a very very nice place to be. The curved screen is very nice and it seemed like the dashboard screen is now finally an OLED, not LCD. The dash bits (including the palm resting pad) was leather in the Turbo, not sure in the base model. It felt nice either way and looked like you'd expect from a brand new luxury SUV.

Also, the base starts at 1,1 million NOK (108k USD / 93,4k EUR / 81,6k GBP) which is quite a bit less than I expected. All in all, I'm impressed! Great effort from Porsche.

As for the showing itself, we were bussed to an indoor skiing facility where the car was lined up at the bottom of the slope, we were served champagne, hot cocoa (with cream and a sprinkle of Cayenne pepper) and Cayenne branded chocolate. After initial introductions by Molly Petit (if you follow WRC you'll know her from end of stage interviews) and Michael Hiller (CEO) we were invited to take the chairlift up the slope where the advertizing boards and PA system told the story of Porsche, while various Porsche models were lined up and lighted in the slopes. Some interesting cars too like the 992 Dakar and Taycan Turbo GT. The ride was up and down and then came the grand reveal. of the Cayenne which was a high specced Turbo. We were free to poke around and two guys from Porsche Germany was present to answer questions. Inside there was another bar, some snacks and beers and a base Cayenne.

Cool location and concept and a great new car, all in all a very good day <3

Wow. Thanks for sharing. Seems you had a great time. I optioned the sports seats for back support. By any chance did you look at passenger seat buckle? B pillar seems hard plastic as well.
