Thought I'd compile my findings in one place to help save someone a lot of money. My dealership wanted over $1,000+tax for 4 TPMS sensors (parts only!). I'm not sure how that math adds up as the MSRP isn't even that high.

Sensor - 9J1907275B x4
Sensor Bolt - PAF009379 x4
Valve Stem - 9P1601361E (I believe this is black) x4
Total = $699.60 in MSRP for 4 of each

Or you can buy the exact OEM sensor (made by Huf). The sensors are black and you can get silver, black or gunmetal valve stems:

Alternatively, you can buy the same sensor in orange (they are a universal but pre-programmed from the factory to the correct 433 mhz), made by Huf (OEM manufacturer). You can also get the silver, black or gunmetal valve stems.

Whenever replacing tires, wheels, etc. (basically if you dismount the tires), I highly suggest cheap insurance and buying new valve stems. Why? Because the rubber seats to the initial form and if you change things up, you could potentially not get a good of a seal. Rubber also degrades over time.

I recommend only getting the orange ones because they will function exactly the same and save you money! Same OEM quality.

And the relearn procedure is easy, you don't need codes off the sensors, need to reprogram, go to the dealer, etc. that I've seen posted.

There are certain TPMS that do require a (Autel TPMS relearn tool for example on my Toyota), but not the Porsche Taycan. These are the sensors for 2020 and 2021 Taycan's.

I ordered the generic orange TPMS sensors from tpmsdirect.com and they worked great. Set the PCM to learn a second tire set and after a few minutes of driving, the car picked up all corners.

$130 bucks way better than the $500 for OE.

Why do you need to change them? I've never had to on any of my other cars from memory.

I have used TPMS.com 3x (2x Audi and 1x BMW) in the past. No issues and car recognized the sensors immediately. Nicely priced and shipped quick too!

I bought x4 orange Huf TPMS sensors off ebay for my winter setup (I also bought 4 new tires and rims), do I need to do any programming before mounting the tyres, because I wouldn't want to have a horror situation of mounting the tyres on rims and then that the sensors don't work or smth.

I did not have to do any programming.

Hi mate,
I just bought new Mission E's rims, and 4 new M+S Conti tyres, for my winter setup, and I bought 4 orange Huf TPMS sensors (part number:5Q0 907 275F), can you confirm that I can mount the tyres on the rims with these sensors, because I wouldn't want a horror story, with mounted tyres and that the sensors don't work, it would be a nightmare. The pic of the sensor is in addition. Thanks in advance.

i'm about to buy this TPMS set that you purchased. Question - when you get them installed, do you need to specify anything to the tire installer? Or this set is already pre programmed for the 433 mhz and is detectable by our Taycan?

Nothing to specify. They’re already preprogrammed and your car will figure out which corner is which when you select a new tire in the PCM and start driving.
