You're missing the joke...lol!
The actual "joke" is that Tesla owners are getting their fix and Porsche owners are not. (i.e. 12V battery problem which renders the Taycan immobile on highways) Who, exactly, do we need to make that "request" of Porsche?

I would much rather have a manufacturer suffer the embarassment of a recall and fix something than have no recall at all. At least it means something is being fixed...

(Looks like my 2016 Model-X qualifies)

No, they're not.
Tesla was asked to recall them.
Tesla already is replacing the daughterboard with the eMMU chipset which is faulty.
It's under warranty, if the car has done not more than 100.000mls.
It hardly has to do with "safety", more like "inconvenience" if you ask me...
