I am currently looking at replacing my Cayenne (maybe, it has been having some issues, currently in the shop for the past 2 weeks) and am going between an Audi RSQ8, an Audi RS6, and a BMW X5 M60i. Price points are higher on the Audis, but really looking to see if anyone has one of these vehicles and whether they would recommended it, or advise to stay away. This would be the family trip vehicle, so need another SUV or wagon (estate).

What’s wrong with another Cayenne E-hybrid?

That was the original plan, we were going to order a 2025 Cayenne S E Hybrid, however the issue with my current E Hybrid is the fuel injectors. Apparently it is common to need to replace them every 20,000 miles or so in a PHEV (this isn’t solely a Porsche problem, googling brought up any and all makes that have hybrids or PHEVs available). My service center replaced only the one that was causing the issue, which means there are 5 left that could go anytime now (about 27,000 miles on the Cayenne). Unless you drive it solely in Sport, this is going to be an ongoing issue, and 2 + weeks without a car every time one needs replaced will get old pretty quickly. Otherwise I really like the PHEV (I realize this isn’t exactly a glowing review of them)

Didn’t you have an x5 45e before? I had one too. Saw you on Bimmerpost a couple of years ago (my Bimmerpost name is X5 45e). Enjoyed that car a lot. Driving a lower car like the Taycan is nicer everyday but the X5 was good for long trips. Miss it for that.

I had one on order, but took the Cayenne E Hybrid instead as it came in first and drove better. I am over on Bimmerpost, same username.

Audi RS6 - test drove one last year and I was impressed by the ride comfort, better than my Panamera Turbo S, I guess RSQ8 is very similar. Best decision is after driving all of them.
