I'm not sure I understand the power modes available for this vehicle. For instance with the Cayenne S:

  • Power up to 400 kW (536 hp)
  • Power overboost with launch control 490 kW (657 hp) so +90 kW (+121 hp)
  • Power with push to pass (if you buy the weird $1040 eyeball) +90 kW (+120 hp)
So push to pass gives us the same power as launch control? I hate that fricking eyeball! It's either that or buy the Redshift chip that is planned but will cost 3X more. At least with the Redshift we can get one pedal driving for those that prefer it. Or live with only 400 kW 🤣

Push to Pass (an element of Sports Chrono option) is available when on the move and logically of more use than acceleration from a standstill. Add to this the addition of Sports Plus mode for the chassis and Sport mode for PSM. Beyond this there is a Track Endurance Mode to keep the battery toasty should have the urge to nip to the racetrack on your way to Walmart.

Same power (obviously) given both features rely on making all battery resources available for a given moment (10 secs for Sports Response).

More to this therefore than meets the “eye”.
