Porsche is fully aware of the situation and is currently working on an update, as I have been informed. I have also seen the ticket created in the system. If this issue is not resolved, I will have to consider returning the vehicle.

I will check today whether this issue affects my car as well. I have children's car seats in the back, so I haven't had the opportunity to check yet.

Regardless, this is unacceptable. It feels like we're essentially driving beta cars that haven't been fully developed for end users, despite paying a premium for them. The fact that the boot space cannot be fully utilised because of this issue is simply not good enough.

Is this problem only on the SUV due to the electric seat back lowering ? Is it also because the SUV rear seats can be electrically moved forward and back - do the rear seats need to be moved to the rear before lowering.

I haven’t noticed the issue on my Coupe with the manual seats. The rear seats in the Coupe can only be adjusted for rake not ‘reach’. I read and viewed a few reviews that said the electric seat backs were very slow so I didn’t mind having the manual rears in the Coupe.

The issue appears to be related solely to the electrical seat folding mechanism due to the manual headrest design. While the headrest operates manually, the seat folding mechanism is electrically actuated, and these two systems do not communicate effectively. To prevent the seat from crushing the headrest when it is fully unfolded or positioned at its highest point, a design feature restricts the front seat from moving backward and impacting the headrest.

This situation is quite disappointing. It should have undergone extensive testing prior to the vehicle's release. However, I believe this is a software bug that can be resolved with a straightforward update. By modifying the settings under the "Seats" menu, users could be prompted to confirm that the headrest is fully lowered, allowing the front seat to return to its normal position while the seat folding function is activated.

I am not sure how to say this, but my car (SUV) works perfectly without any issue. - HOWEVER. Something I noticed which is quite interesting is that only the PASSENGER seat goes forward before it "turns" back to its original position while the drivers seat stay where it is without moving.

Now, my car was in for an update a few weeks ago - This might be their possible solution. I am annoyed that the drivers seat doesn't move forward, however as it is a gimmick it really doesn't matter. FYI, I can move the drivers seat however I want even though the back seats are down, than includes backwards.

That's very interesting, so perhaps there is an update for it out there.
