I just found out, not surprisingly, that when the car is delivered next month the infamous drive over charging will not come with the car! Leave it to Porsche to sell a bad@$$ feature that isn't even available yet, lol. Do we have any idea when this will be available and what it will cost? I did option my car with the feature.

You may have missed it but this was mentioned on the configurator since launch and that part of the setup is market dependant.

Three elements to it.

Unlike the US, the prep in the UK is standard. The cost in the UK for the receiver and pad is £ 6,400. You’ll then need to pay an installer, but hopefully that wouldn’t be too expensive if they can piggyback off the wall charger ? You can only use the pad and receiver if the car has the wiring prep, so really strange for the sake of $ 250 it isn’t standard in the US.

There is an in-depth article about the wireless charging in a UK magazine - it’s where I got the estimated price from. This says Porsche are aiming to make it available in the UK by the end of this year.
