The whole separate, private networks thing is absolutely insane to me. Always has been.

Definitely made sense at first when Tesla and Rivian used it as a selling point for their vehicles.
And Tesla V2 pedestals don't speak CCS1.
But I'm baffled why Tesla V3 pedestals and all Rivian stations don't allow universal access now, especially at some significant price differential if overcrowding is a concern.

Sure they will, even if only slapping Porsche logos and "suspension tuned by German engineers" on other manufacturer's vehicles. It wouldn't be the first time VWAG has done that.

Yea, hard to miss with Porsche. On a trip the damned thing keeps on dinging every time it loads the next map tile, because it's a really important thing for the driver to know (and have to hit OK to dismiss the notification, it even has a read it outloud option, but you have to hit a button every time to get it to read). This is only beat by my "You have a notification" popup which sometimes keeps on dinging, but when I hit "show notification" it says "you have no notifications".
