I was very close to getting one of those but the dreaded paint bubble issue plus I'm a convertible guy pushed to a Boxster. Now I'm eagerly waiting for the 718 EV
Funny I was told that this Green was one of the colours not effected, that problem seems to have been with earlier example and as Lotus had a stock of cars sat you might have place an order for a new car in 2025 it might well have been built months prior to that date. Rumour has it that Lotus have extended the paint warranty over the 3 years so should be an issue getting sorted if it does happen.

Was considering a GTS Boxster or Cayman when the 992.2 we have was put up for sale, at the time Porsche GB flooded the dealers with base cars because of the delay with the others which meant killer dealer could be done hence it instead of the Boxster/Cayman.

Like you I am interested to see how the 718 EV replacement looks and drives, anyone who has experienced the Ioniq N5 will know EVs don’t have to be boring.

Very nice. Is that a GTS? You will have the perfect 2 Porsche car garage with the Cayenne. I’ve got a BGTS 4.0 to compliment the Taycan. I would love a 911 too.
Sadly it’s just a base 992.2 Carrera with the aero kit, though plenty quick enough with the constant police and cameras placed just about everywhere you turn. LOL

The base is still very good. It’s a 911, end of.
I’m a great fan of EV’s as well as ICE cars. Love my Boxster but also love my Taycan. Having driven a number of 992.1 and .2, I would say the Taycan drives like a bigger 992, but only electric. It has that similar Porsche feel. I’m sure you will agree having had both. I’m a little worried the Cayenne won’t feel quite like the Taycan.

The Cayenne still feels like a Porsche but sitting higher it ain’t going to feel as connected to the road as well as the Taycan does. We had one of the early Taycan CT 4S and whilst good the latest I drove felt a marked improvement and the same is true about the Cayenne, the ride is exceptional on the Cayenne it’s remarkable just how good it is on 22” rims and quiet too. Only my opinion but it feels more like a raise Panamera than a bigger Macan.

The only real drawback for not getting another Taycan was boot size and shape, which is why the Cayenne is my preferred choice this time round.

That’s the reason I’m going for the Cayenne. I had intended ordering a J1.2 Taycan Turbo CT but our family situation changed and I need a bigger car. I’m hoping the Cayenne Turbo with active ride and rear wheel steer will go some way to making the change up worth it.

Never drove the Turbo version but did the Macan which was pretty spicy as is but the Cayenne Turbo has almost twice the power and only a small weight gain, that thing will be nuts. Active ride is amazing if the Panamera is anything to go by so I doubt you will feel anything than disbelief how capable it is.
