Hi, just had a look at top gear's news (https://www.topgear.com/car-news/electric/audis-second-shouty-audi-here-china) for new AUDI SUV (Chinese market only). Not saying it is better or comparable to Cayenne EV, but pricing and interior design makes me wonder if glorious days of mass production in Europe are over. For sure cars are subsidised and build quality might be different, but they start having an edge in interior design and are quicker to adapt new technologies (even if developed in Europe). What are your thoughts? Time to buy a 911?

Mate Rimac (CEO of Bugatti and founder of Rimac) made an interesting point on this. His company essentially develops electric drivetrains for a large part of the industry, including German brands like Porsche and BMW.

He said that European manufacturers are trying too hard to compete with China in areas where they’re simply not as strong, and that they should “stay in their lane.” In other words, focus on what they’ve historically done best: Building high-quality, driver focused cars, rather than chasing screens and EV tech where others currently have the edge.

I tend to agree. You can already see it reflected in European customers like us, we’re starting to shy away from European EVs. At the end of the day, why pay a 50% premium for worse performance and technology?
