I found this an interesting take, though I find his prosody* rather distracting.
(*yes, I did have to find the right word to use and now hope to remember it long enough to use it again).
I like the looks...reminds me of the Lancia Delta (albeit a massively inflated one).
Presumably because it reimagines the Hyundai Pony (like the Delta, styled by ItalDesign).
He's obviously loving it, and it seems a very competent car, though its USP seems to be offering thr most ICE-like experience from an EV. Personally I think the control interface and its configuration look overwhelming- not in a good way- and for all that drift optimisation functionality it...
To be fair, a Panamera GTS would have been a better comparison perfromance-wise with your Taycan. The lower Panamera trims are more luxury executive cruiser. I had the equivalent Cayenne e-hybrid, and thought its electric 130hp was plenty around town. I found myself adapting my driving to...
Pros v Taycan: a few physical buttons, a bit of contrast stitching and hopefully a centre armrest storage lid that's usable one-handed.
Cons v Taycan: main instrument binnacle less interesting shape, lower B-pillars look even more plasticky.
Not sure: other than the points above, I've not...
I'd assumed that the majority in their SAGA years (I've been long in denial of that personally) would be at worst indifferent to EVs, not caring what powers their cars (and maybe even attracted to MG out of nostalgia or patriotism), and at best being early adopters- retired, no mortgage, no...
The CT weighs just 25kg (55 pounds) more, only an extra 1.1% over the sedan. The difference might even be less than that if the sedan has the optional pano roof.
I'd guess that it's people who want, and are prepared to pay for, the pinnacle of Taycan-ness (with its launch potential a clear step up from the Turbo). The Taycan was the darling EV of UK motoring journalism, small businesses got great tax benefits, and until recently there wasn't any...
Though I'm looking forward to shortly doing it again, I don't think that the Taycan Turbo and Turbo S are best on track- IIRC I was only getting around 10 miles on the Silverstone International CIrcuit before thermal management curtailed the power and I had to tootle back to the Porsche SEC to...
Agree that it's disappointing that the extra power can't be called on at other times (e.g. using the centre button that all other models have on the sport chrono wheel), but <0.2s slower without LC for the Turbo CT is good enough for me to not bother with the faff of LC.
PDriveTV are one of the...
It might be significantly attributable to differences between the audio recordings, but the Taycan's tyres sound like they're taking a lot more punishment under braking and cornering, than those of the Rimac.
? It's a LEGO BMW i8 Jaguar i-pace taxi kind of thing...and I salute it.
Sad that it's not lined up for the UK- not that I want to buy one, but the more interesting-looking cars on the road, the better as far as I'm concerned.
Sadly, the only 2 examples of this World Rallycross special EV have just been destroyed by a fire while they were being charged at a Championship round.

This was the first I'd heard of their existence...
That seems plausible for my Turbo CT on 20" aero wheels, in ideal conditions (that I doubt I'll ever experience on British roads). Most of my longer journeys do suggest the potential to get around that actual range.
