I am starting to see quite a few MG4 cars on the road.
Didn't think much of it, apart from they were cheap.
But they started picking up quite a few awards (electric car of the year etc) and many of the reviews were quite positive...
The reason I remember you was that 'stupid, stupid, stupid battery' thread. I really felt your pain at the time.
And I thought about it only last week when the bank messed up our business online banking and I couldn't pay the staff.
My email to them was entitled 'stupid, stupid, stupid HSBC'...
We have a member on here who lives in China (cant remember who ?).
It would be interesting getting his take on things over there.
I do think in Europe at least, we are going to see a tidal wave of them.
For example, In one of those pics I posted above, Chery (never heard of them) say they are...
Good to hear Caroline. ?
Been dragged down with a health issue also - so know how it feels.
If you did get another, I think Red is great. Very rare as most people go monochrome.
Without being sexist, especially cool for a female. Whereas a bloke may get some stick for mid life crisis etc...
Good to see you Caroline.
I was wondering how you had got on after your woes a while back.
Glad to see the Taycan came good. I assumed you may have got rid after your battery issues.

The article I initially read was in the FT.

And 3 charts from the article sort of tell the story.

I saw an article about Chinese car manufacturing and how they are completely dominating their home market. And EVs are the mainstream choice.
The only importer of any significance is Tesla.
But they are now turning their sights on exports (I'm not going to comment on the...
I think you are underplaying the skill required......
They do need to be able to stamp on a pedal and keep their arms straight for a few seconds, without getting bored.
?
The oversized fad appears to be dying out, thankfully.
There was a great article in the FT about it recently.

We have lots of small roundabouts where I live.
The Tesla indicators would be an issue as you need to 'feed the steering wheel'. You don't just keep your hands at 2 and 10.
If you go 3/4 way round a roundabout you have to change indictator from right to left mid way. That would be almost...
I first saw these (Chopard Eagle) advertised on that free Porsche magazine that gets sent.
I really like the green dial. It would be a good alternative for my Rolex Datejust.
But i also think its got a bit of a Patek Nautilus look to it......whuch is obviously a very good thing.
The green dial...
Off at a slight tangent here......
But I'm very grateful to Tesla.
I am finding more and more negative / anti EV feeling out there (that's getting quite annoying).
Certainly got worse over the 2 years I have owned my Taycan and it's generally in line with the rising numbers of EVs on the...
There was a very intersting article in the FT suggesting that by 2030, 10% of EVs will already be using solid state batteries.
That timescale suggests things are about to start to change very soon.

It looks like some major...
Its an amazing watch.
?
Although the 24 hour / GMT dial is obvious, whats less obvious is the annual calendar indicated by the red dot on the hour marker (4th marker on pic above = April).
So you also only ever have to adjust the date in Feb.
Various adjustments are made by clicking the...
I had the black face stainless steel on bracelet when they were very first released.
Loved the watch, but it was just a bit too big and top heavy for me, so I let it go.
I think people are a bit behind the curve with things.....
Most of the PCM issues got sorted out with uPdate.
Mine is fine now. Very happy with it.
But certain elements want to promote any negative Taycan issues, whether they are real or not.
Porsche are moving through the Taycan issues in a...
I soon realised when I came on here that people fell into 2 distinct camps.
Those that came to a Taycan from previous Tesla ownership and everybody else.
I came from a BMW M2 and couldn't understand people wanting things like one pedal driving so badly. I hardly knew what it was.
I then...
It appears he isn't that interested in what we have to say.
1 and only post and never returned.
Build a fire, throw the match on and walk off. Watch it burn from afar.
