I believe the Cayenne EV will be the best "driver's" vehicle available this year that offers good interior space. Of course the 911 will still be more fun but I would rather have some enjoyment on EVERY drive versus a bit more enjoyment on 20% of my drives. I'm lucky because I'm getting the...
On the passenger side the expanse of either the flat black plastic panel or glass display rubs me wrong. The display glass there would rub me moreso since it costs $2240 and would not be used. Since I'm not getting the display I'm looking for ideas on what modification to do here. Ideas so...
The Taycan battery issue is a problem with the cells themselves which are not made by Porsche. The modules are assembly of cells. Porsche assembles the modules in house. I have no idea how many of the module components Porsche makes in house. Cells are about 50% cost of a battery pack.
There...
One minute ago I just sent an email mentioning shekels 🤣
Thanks for the heads up. I'm not getting the premium pack as I want to avoid the powered sunroof which adds about 30 kg at the abosulte worst spot. Plus, wife not at all interested in the passenger screen.
Don't European prices included VAT/sales taxes? USA prices do not include taxes as that varies by state. Where I reside there is an additional 6.25% tax.
I mention in this thread Per Redshift Performance there will be an aftermarket ECU available to bump power with a release around August. Redshift have had great success with the Taycan. Besides bumping power they can tweak throttle mapping and increase recouperation.
My guess is they expect...
I've done a bunch of reading on this topic and have come to the conclusion I will not opt for it. The Cayenne will be my 5th EV and none of the others had the insulated glass and I found all of those vehicles plenty quiet and the heat was not much of an issue, even though I live in Texas. I've...
The numbers I quoted are the base power numbers from Macan 4S motors in various configurations. How is that an insane increase? The base Cayenne EV will use these motors and inverters while having the same battery as the 1000+ hp Turbo model. BTW using your inverter availability 350 +600 = 950 A...
You do not need to ship your ecu. With Taycans they send a pre-programmed ecu that you swap in. You keep the old ecu and swap back in if needed. The swap takes 15 min....in a Taycan.
Taycan owners remove and replace with original for service visits and nobody has lost their warranty. In the USA the manufacturer must prove a modification has caused a fault before it can deny a warranty. Of course, this could be a major hassle. My dealer told me if I didn't have them do my...
Something else to consider is full power on a Cayenne Electric equipped with the Redshift Mmodule is 100% of power is always available so no launch control business. The result is an even larger functional power increase for most use cases.
