EQS will for sure compete with Tesla ModelS. With Tesla have much more focus on Performance and not build quality etc.
I agree with you. Both are very good cars but they should not be compared. They address different segments just as the S- Class and Porsche have done over the years.

Good points about the complexity, but perhaps it is to expect too much that dealers and sales people should even have a clue about this! I think your point about electricians saving some money is the real issue.

The Taycan drives like a Porsche and is excellent to drive. But to me it is nearly a bit too clinical...
I do not think it makes any difference at all when charging with AC up to 11 kW. There have been many Tesla’s that have charged daily with 11 kW.
secondly, if you really want to do this, you can simply dial down the ampers on the PMCC! I am not sure how low you can go but cerainly down to say 6...
There are quite a few reviews available now, but my main improvement compared with Taycan is the high resolution back up camera. That would be nice if we could get an upgrade!

400 volt architecture is the same as a Tesla modelS and they have a similar range as per WLTP. And the Tesla’s are not slowin acceleration or to charge so I do not see why the EQS...

Do You not have a Settings in the car to switch the One Pedal driving to a lower level that is more like the one in the Taycan? That is in the menu for the model3 at least. Just switch it over and problem solved.

It is staten in the video but he also says that it is the calculated draw down from the battery. He used the cars estimated consumption per 100 km multiplied by the actual achieved range. And he explains that there probably is a small error in the Taycan estimated consumption. Perhaps too high...
I agree with Dee ! There will always be another promise out there. Faster, more powerful, longer range etc. EV’s are a little bit like PC’s now. Once you have left the shop with your purchase there is a better one around the corner. So waiting for the “”best”” you will not enjoy things.
