Will you test drive the Mercedes EQS?

Got a reasonable review in UK (handling not great) and as it's based on EQS (S-Class) its been around for a while software wise and therefore stable. Own battery tech and cathodes use a lot less cobalt (10%). Impressive that Mercedes beat all the other manufacturers to the first proper premium...

Will you test drive the Mercedes EQS?

I think it outrageous that dealers can get away with this practice.

Will you test drive the Mercedes EQS?

2.7T monster and doubt it will rate highly in the handling stakes. Decent range with its monster battery too. Definitely one for NA market and unlikely many on a UK school run.

    Every Porsche coming soon

Indeed! I think the RR EV will be out by then and time for me to jump ship away from Porsche....,maybe

New Porsche Luxury SUV to Sit Above Cayenne (+Panamera EV!?)

Not sure I'd agree with 'smaller' - I had a Pana ST (4 seat config) prior to my Taycan so have lived and breathed it. Ingress / egress for sure is better (different roof line) on the Pana. Interior wise and physical dimensions are so close (in fact the Taycan is slightly wider at a certain...

New Porsche Luxury SUV to Sit Above Cayenne (+Panamera EV!?)

Think of Range Rover as the target as latest gen will offer full EV drive. Different price point too and therefore more profit to be made. New Rangie bears testimony to that. Cayenne is too small IMHO (I've had 2).

New Porsche Luxury SUV to Sit Above Cayenne (+Panamera EV!?)

Interesting indeed but I still can't fathom the ongoing need for both Taycan and Panamera - a merger is needed as they both have the same dimensions and offer up to 4+1 seating. The additional 'luxury' of the Panamera could easily be incorporated into the Taycan - soft close doors for one!

EU mandating installing speed tracking hardware in all new cars (Autoblog)

This is old news and talked about by the EU bureaucrats for several years now. Our Taycans already have several of these features as standard all of which can be switched off. Speed limit regulated cruise control - 95% unreliable leading to unexpected automatic braking of the car due to...

Track competition between Taycan CT4S and 911 on Fifth Gear

That's why it's on Channel 5! I think Jason lost the plot when he was enticed into that ridiculous race around some farm lanes whilst James Martin "cooked" - thankfully that section has been dropped from the programme.

    Lotus Eletre

Oh deary me! No, no and no again (sorry). Poor dealership network will put many off too. Really should have called it a Proton (remember that "awesome" vehicle)?

Porsche 718 / 983 Boxster / Cayman EV Sports Car Announced For 2025 Launch

Nice....let's hope it can manage more than 100 (real) miles (hopefully with new battery tech)! Do I sell my 981 Boxster S now and start saving??

Lucid Air reaches 500 miles in real-world 70 mph range test

It is impressive - a similar post was made a couple of months ago. Note that the battery is appreciably larger than that in the Taycan with Performance Battery Plus. Roll on 2024 when Mercedes and others will have their 600 mile range high density batteries in their EVs - Porsche need to get a...

Boot / trunk capacity between the Saloon / sedan vs the Gran Turismo?

Marginal additional luggage space. Increased rear headroom in the rear and easier access in the hatch.

Will you test drive the Mercedes EQS?

At a minimum it would help to know the battery sizes (and useable capacity) to make sense of this table!
