I found this an interesting take, though I find his prosody* rather distracting.
(*yes, I did have to find the right word to use and now hope to remember it long enough to use it again).

I can sort of relate to a few of his points.
I had decided to change my TVR Griffith big valve to a 993 Carrera in the mid 90s but on test drive it felt slow compared to the TVR, it was about 3 to 400kg heavier so I waited for the 993 turbo to try but that, whilst phenomenal on an empty road at high speeds, was rubbish overtaking traffic on the twisty roads around here because of lag - it was better than earlier turbos but still rubbish for my use.

I ended up with a Ferrari 355. All my mates in the motor racing community teased about reliability but I have kept it since few cars today are simple with 3 pedals manual shift and no driver over-rides. It has been perfectly reliable so far (less time in the garage in 26 years than the Taycan in 1).
Plus it sounds so much better than the 993, and pretty well any other car I have heard.

OTOH it also has a simple full leather interior whereas nowadays many Ferrari interiors look like a whore’s boudoir. IMHO of course.

I went to look at a Puresangue one time I was at the Porsche dealer, they are next door, because I like a 4 door and it isn’t as hideously bulky and unaerodynamic as is typical for a SUV. It was lovely, pity about the fuel consumption.

JayEmm is one of the most annoying guys on the Internet, second only maybe to Schmee.
Schmee is one of those people that makes me realize that taste is inherently subjective given the inverse relationship between how popular he is and how much he irritates me. Everything about the guy bugs me, even though he seems like a perfectly nice enough person. The cloying nerdiness, the gross excessiveness, the accent and artificial enthusiasm... drives me nuts.

Don’t worry, you’re not missing out on anything if you own a Porsche, former 458 Spider owner here
Same here. Im guessing that more recent Ferraris are better. But the 430 I had in the 00s was slow and understeered like a pig. So I went back to Porsche and never looked back.

Was at a basketball game on Friday and there was a guy rocking a Ferrari hat and a Ferrari branded jacket. There's no way anybody can pull this off, ever. If you don't own a Ferrari, dressing like that is just sad (like Joey from Friends with his Porsche outfit) and if you do - jeez, that's a pathetically desperate cry for the wrong kind of attention. As between the two, I sort of sympathize with the wannabe - the Ferrari owner should know better.

am looking for a 992. gt3 touring for the exact reason.

I would add that Porsches are for going fast, and doing so reliably. Ferraris are all about getting attention. I found that out the hard way when every gold digger within 100 miles would turn up pass soon as I parked the car in a public place.

This GT3 Touring just came through Porsche Austin. I think one could do worse in terms of color...

I kinda like the Fjord green personally, however i wouldn't have a decal and aurum alloy wheels - would go for gt silver wheels instead.
most likely I will choose the gt silver or dolomite silver for the gt3 touring with matching allow wheels

i can more or less relate to that when sitting in my friends f8, but i'd say lambo scores higher every time in this situation

I met him once many years ago and we chatted for a while. He was a perfectly nice person.
