As other chinese brands branch out of china in 2025 and 2026, I suspect that top 10 will only be chinese cars. As that's where innovation will happen, fueled by economy of scale, state subsidies and sheer sale volume and amount of money spent on invocation. Right now there's 12/20 chinese brands in there
BYD was only the first to branch out of china, but more will follow for sure.
In EU, parts don't suffer from importing tariffs, so as long as they assemble the cars in EU, they could ship whole sale batteries from China. And many will do that.
But I think this graph is more intresting. BYD selling more than the whole VW group.
