I don't mind the look of it but I wouldn't see it as between the 911 and Taycan. It is what it is, a Maserati tourer; instantly recognisable and rather nice on the eye.

For me, one of the main appeals about the Taycan is its striking looks. It turns heads and has that new, futuristic wow factor. The Maserati reminds me of taking a tried and tested formula of an ICE model and just electrifying it.

As an example, this GranTurismo Folgore could almost have been produced by these guys:

In answer to your question, it might take some 'on the fence' buyers away from Stuttgart's offering but not many in my opinion.

Maserati tech makes the Taycan look solid.
these cars have the worst reputation for running cost and break down all the time.

It’s certainly a head turner, but the price? Looks like it will start well above the price for a Turbo S at £180000 (200000 Euros) without the options, which is Ferrari territory. More rarified market, only 2 doors, and in that sense aimed at different people.

The new Maserati, i read that it's handling is shit. Too heavy. Never heard such comments with Taycan. If i am choosing again. I would still choose the cross turismo.

If it was in the same price range it'll be a contender. Not at £200k+ unless you want to part with that sort of cash. But let's be honest, if you want a Maserati at that price, you'll buy an MC20.

I would say that the Taycan is in the catbird seat. Maserati doesn't exactly have the greatest reputation either.

Any friends I know that had a Maserati, HAD a Maserati. Their lack of reliability and the huge loss in value are notorious. I don't think you would ever cross shop a Porsche and a Maserati.
