Hmm, not easy to visit for a look at sadly. I was travelling there frequently a year back but not any more.
I’m happy to ask them to do a video walk around if you want. They are excellent to deal with.

Thanks for the responses.

The RAS was one option I was concerned about dropping - I checked today with the dealers and Porsche specialist I know. He has driven both with and without RAS back to back and he said it was hard to tell the difference. I have had it before in an eTron GT but not in a Q7 - I never noticed the difference which is why I never spec'ed it here.... but, as you say, it is a big unit.

I was in a dealership today and managed to drive the base with 21s. It was stunning. The thing that jumped out at me was the performance. It was a short test drive but enough to get a feel for the base handling and performance. On UK roads..... it is more than enough. Very impressive, and super smooth over mixed road conditions.

Good to hear the smoothness it has while driving! How about the comfort level pet your experience? Eventually it will be many people’s family car.

I have the base on 21 with laminated windows. The ride in general is absolutely smooth. In comfort mode even better, probably similar to Range Rover from recollection. The spread of drive modes is much wider as compared to other Porsche not only affecting suspension but also throttle significantly. You feel kind of isolated from your busy surroundings. On sunny afternoon with roof open and right music, girls have fallen a sleep on short trips after school.

As we all know, there is no free lunch in the universe. The ride comfort comes at a price of disconnection, the car and acceleration feels slower than it actually is. Needs some time to get use to, but after a week I am completely happy and wouldn’t have it any other way. I haven’t tested S or Turbo but I assume they are as easy and relaxing to drive in the city due to comfort mode and should be much more fun to drive on unrestricted roads.

Would love to hear experience of Sport plus and sport ICE sound.

Thanks for the sharing! It does sound like what I would expect, a comfort flagship with decent performance, look forward to drive it in person. Thank you!
