And many more questions, such as to whether it could also be used as a comfortable daily driver are asked in a video driving by ”Petrol Ped?”

Good review, but I wish they'd stop reviewing the Turbo and saying it's unnecesary. Of course it's ridiculous when logic comes to play. Are not all comparable vehicles?
Review a nicely specced base or S dammit.

The funny thing is When these people review the turbo …they ve got the biggest grin on their faces …pure joy every time they blip the accelerator …enjoying every minute of the drive …and then they tell you don’t get one🫪
well perhaps some of us want that experience every time we take the car out …I definitely do …it’s the whole point of buying a Porsche (budget dependent)
if you drive a mundane everyday vehicle the jumping into a turbo is a dream come true ….i for one won’t be listening to these so called experts😉🤣🤣

Just got back from a Porsche Cayenne EV driving experience session at Silverstone (say ‘yes’ if you are lucky enough to get an invite). Drove the Turbo and base models on handling tracks, skid pans and drag straights. Biggest impressions were i) that both cars drove unbelievably well without RWS or PAR (making me question circumstances in our case where those would be needed), ii) the Turbo is way too fast for me if using anything like its full performance (bizarrely it was the braking that made me feel ill, not the acceleration, which I chickened out of early and iii) I’d like a bit more oomph than in the base car. As a result I came back onto the configurator and started speccing an ‘S’ - we always put quite a high level of extras on our cars but the issue I found was that the monthly contract hire numbers for the ‘S’ ended up being only £120 pcm lower than the same spec on a Turbo, presumably due to higher standard kit on the latter. So, while a Turbo makes no logical sense for us and we would not use its capabilities 99% of the time, it ends up being the route we will likely go down given the finance position! Btw was also a great opportunity to compare colours. I had gone in expecting a dark blue or Vanadium to be our preference but was blown away by one car that was in Dolomite silver and just stood out from the rest of the cars.
