It is only important to people who care if they are being lied to when they are told about the performance of the car. I get that in the post-truth world, a lot of people don't care about the truth.
No, if you think about it, you would know that that is the main trick of an EV.
I don't...
I have been doing this now for over 3 years.
It has gotten worse.
I get that chargers can break down, stuff happens. The issue is they just aren't keeping pace with the demand, so every charger that breaks has a bigger impact than it did before.
It is made worse by so many cars on the road...
The post about the Cybertruck 911 gimmick is about a 1/8 mile race...that they claimed was a 1/4 mile race.
Besides, the lowest spec 911 is 0.1 second slower than the mid-spec Cybertruck in 0-60. Tesla doesn't include rollout, not sure if Porsche does.
I care about results, not approach.
Where exactly do they tout the 1/8th mile times?
what mold are they trying to break? Do you think trucks that are towing significant weight need to have faster 1/8th mile racing times?
Musk said something that was flat out wrong? This is my completely surprised face!!
I don't know that that has ever happened before since he is the most honest and ethical person eva!
Never get why these Tesla owners keep having to justify every stupid thing Tesla does.
Looking at your post history, it is all about Tesla and how wonderful they are. Aren't there enough fan forums for you to profess your love of Tesla there?
I think the point is that when an ICE catches fire, it is often no big deal compared to when an EV catches fire. A friend of mine had a new Aston Martin a decade ago that came with a small fire extinguisher as standard equipment.
Secondly, the average age of an ICE on the road is over 12 years...
Porsche has a concern about the charger so sets as a default the charger to 50%, however they did not prevent anyone from charging at 100%. That is orders of magnitude less significant than what Tesla has been doing.
Dave!
Congrats on the car, really excited for you! I hope you enjoy every second of that track time (as if I don't think you will ;) ).
Looking at the config, I know it is probably the best material for the job (since it is a Porsche), but I did get a kick out of the description of the...
They are all financial successes for Musk personally.
They are business failures.
My point is that it depends on what you think Musk's goal was: to make money for himself so he can go to Mars, or to build solid sustainable businesses that provide value and quality to the consumer. I have my...
Solar was not a failure by the metric of "did Musk and his cousin make a lot of money?". LOL
Boring is still raking in government money so people at the top of that company are doing just fine.
He earned the right to be called a founder of a Tesla in a settlement to a lawsuit with one of the actual founders. Other people founded the company and had the vision, he became an early investor and board member, then later the CEO.
He also was a co-founder, not founder of X.com along with...
