    my Taycan vs my 911

I would agree if it were against a PDK. But I do love my manual…. That’s not a PDK. I know. I don’t need corrections. But the boredom sure rings true. At least with an EV, I can try to ignore the fact that the transmission is boring by enjoying the jerk.

    my Taycan vs my 911

The guards red was settling when Lava Orange was discontinued for 2023 and PTS stop sale prevented me from ordering gulf orange. But it turns out I like GR more than I thought I would. It didn’t feel like settling after delivery. My other considerations were were shark blue or Python green...

    my Taycan vs my 911

The HVAC is mostly a non issue. The screen controls are quite large and the screen is also haptic, so it has feedback when you press (feels like a click). And as I noted, in many ways, it’s better than the physical controls in the 911 because more items are readily available instead of in a...

    my Taycan vs my 911

There are some other threads on here too that cover other points I don’t. I mainly covered things that happened to stand out to me coming back to the Taycan after a few months off (and I’m not in a honeymoon phase with it since I’ve had it for a couple of years). Search for 911 in the subject...

Someone should start a Go Fund Me for that.

    my Taycan vs my 911

I know this comparison has been covered numerous times before and I'm probably not noting anything 100 other people on here don't already know, but I'm adding my perspective anyway. Background I have both a 2021 Taycan 4S and a 2023 911 GTS Cabriolet 7MT (manual). I had the Taycan for around 2...

    Porsche NFT, anyone?

My 9 year old would give you a lot of money for them. If he had any money. Spoiler; he doesn’t. Sorry.

"Some electric vehicles exposed to Hurricane saltwater flooding caught fire" - Article

@Tooney okay…but other than those…I haven’t seen any reporting of such fires.

    Tesla Price Drop

I don’t think my wife even knows how to turn the regular cruise control on. But she said having sport design front was required/non-negotiable.

Will Electric 718 EV Have NACS and/or CCS Connector(s)?

I’d prefer if we vote on names. My vote is for the J-NACCS?. Please note the emoji is part of the name and not a reflection of my statement. You pronounce it by making the face at the end.

    [Perspective] - A happy Taycan owner road trip’s his Daughter’s Model Y…

Don’t worry. Ejection seats would be controlled by timers and profiles, so no one would be able to figure out how to activate them.

Maybe that’s the problem. If Porsche would just use rockets to lock/unlock the doors, then it would be rocket science and they’d have all kinds of smart people working on solving the problem. Edit: or at least then, if it didn’t work, we could all go “well…you know…it is rocket science.”

Lol, I’ve tried to teach MEs to program. It turned out significantly worse than the PCM. And it was really hard to help them debug what they had done. “Um….this function is 2000 lines long. Would you like me to help you split this up some? No? You like it this way? …okay.” Now, you guys want...

Photo: charging next to Boxster EV prototype

I think that’s production assembly to keep the weight down. But you can spec it in deviated colors. ??

Yeah, my wife knows her car is green and has massage seats and that’s about it’s. I’m not sure she even knows it’s a Porsche or that it’s electric. I think she’s still trying to figure out how I’ve been getting gas out of the wall.

    [Perspective] - A happy Taycan owner road trip’s his Daughter’s Model Y…

That’s basically my situation. Taycan is my wife’s DD. Only charge at home. Two years and 26k miles; no issues; no complaints. Would 100% buy again. Although I’m trying to her talk to into an electric 718 when it comes out; but she is severely disappointed in the lack of massage seats in my...
