Will you test drive the Mercedes EQS?

Maybe a good thing that you did not put down a deposit. I spoke with a colleague today who loves my Taycan but needed more range due to his status as a road warrior. Upon my advice and counsel, he shot over to the local MB dealer to order an EQS. The schmucks at the local MB dealer took his...

If you’re bored sometime - go test drive a Model 3

I agree. It is all about the driving experience and the feeling of sitting in a masterpiece of teutonic design. Coincidentally, this morning a couple gym buddies (who arrived in a Model 3) asked if they could see the inside of my Taycan. I did them one better and took them for a ride. As I...

This is rich, another Tesla first, blue paint!

I'm not putting down Tesla at all, I would gladly choose a Tesla over any ICE vehicle. But I stand corrected, blue paint is apparently a big deal to some folks and I do not mean to belittle anyone's paint selection (unless of course it is Frozenberry -- a color which should be outlawed).

https://insideevs.com/news/491382/video-dirt-cheap-china-ev-outselling-tesla-model-3/ What about this "beast"? It is a lot of EV for $5,000. The damn thing is cheaper than my golf cart -- better range too. Watch out EZGO!

This is rich, another Tesla first, blue paint!

This was posted as a public service to (hopefully) deter the teslarati trolls from starting yet another inane "who has considered a model s " thread on this forum. I found it laughable that the addition of a couple new paint colors at tesla was even news. But despite my best efforts, do not be...

Porsche needs a new ad agency ... or do they?

As the instigator of this thread, I will be the first to admit that it does not matter at all!

Porsche needs a new ad agency ... or do they?

After your comment, I did look closer and sure enough there is a shadowy figure behind the wheel of the pink Taycan. Only two possibilities: (1) the valet who is going to park her pink car while she meets some gals for lunch, or (2) some dude who drives a pink car who just said something...

Porsche needs a new ad agency ... or do they?

Assuming that virtually nothing is random with respect to product positioning and promotion in a multi-billion dollar industry, one can only wonder what is going on at Porsche HQ. Is their target demographic actually loyal Porsche purists (i.e. the type of people who love performance cars and...

Taycan Turbo S vs. Model S Plaid - really by this much!?

Agree completely that there is no need to hate Teslas. Buuuuuut, I do hate that Covettes no longer have round tail lights! Is there nothing sacred in this world? (I'd have to fact check this, but I believe that even the Pope had some harsh words for GM when they ditched the round tail lights.)

Taycan Turbo S vs. Model S Plaid - really by this much!?

A few unsolicited observations: (1) Business Insider is a POS online rag, why anyone cares about what its writers have to say about anything is baffling; (2) If anyone buys a Porsche simply because it is the fastest car that they can afford, it is time to switch to a Tesla, (or alternatively...

Mercedes EQE looks better than EQS

Thanks for posting. MB seems to have hit this one out of the park -- 110% improvement over current e-class on the exterior and about a 500% improvement on the interior. If Porsche did not make an EV I'd jump on this like stink on sh!t. It will be interesting to hear the comments from the...

Will you test drive the Mercedes EQS?

https://insideevs.com/features/529994/jay-leno-mercedes-eqs/ Now that I have seen the Man (Jay Leno) test the EQS and give it a thumbs-up, it will be hard to resist taking it for a test drive. Most interesting is seeing the car in all black (finally) and on the road. It actually looks very...

Lucid Air - Motor Trend Review

The exterior is worse than yawnsville. I went on the Lucid site a while back and could not come up with any exterior color that was acceptable against the shiny steel roof. It is a matter of personal preference and some may find the Lucid roof to be quite lovely, but I like black cars and this...

Will you test drive the Mercedes EQS?

Interesting that MB was cruising around in Michigan -- probably checking out how the EQE performs during car-jackings in Detroit.

Will you test drive the Mercedes EQS?

Had MB come even close to the concept design, a lot of car makers would be wetting the bed at night. As it stands, it is completely boring on the outside (but not ugly) and supreme on the interior. It should keep the geriatric crowd pretty happy but it will not be a viable alternative to a...

Scared to ask... anyone tempted by Model S Plaid?

All the teslas, to me (an American with some Chinese heritage so perhaps I am jaded), look like they were designed in China. I'm just not a big fan of Chinese car designs, much prefer German and Italian designs.

Would you consider a Hydrogen Fuel cell car?

The South Koreans will for sure be an automotive force as the landscape shifts to EVs, but HFCs are dead on arrival -- even if the cars look amazing. https://energypost.eu/hydrogen-fuel-cell-cars-competitive-hydrogen-fuel-cell-expert/.

Scared to ask... anyone tempted by Model S Plaid?

So true. The only real added value of a dealership (at least during my Taycan purchase experience) was being able to see and touch the different interiors and exteriors (and of course borrow the keys for a test drive). I learned 10X more about the Taycan through this site than I did from...

BMW i4 and iX in person

My first EV was the original Chevy Volt and, despite the cheap plastic interior, I still think it was a better proposition/value than BMW's iX. I ditched a Mercedes to drive the very funky Volt and did so with pride (I am admittedly a little bit of an environmental nut); but I too would lose...
