I understand why you were not happy with your Taycan.
To be honest the Taycan is overpriced for the performance, standard equipment and some underwhelming interior materials, for the same price a Panamera it's put together better and it is more premium inside.
I bought the cheapest used Turbo...
I recently drove iX and self driving features are only a bit better than in Taycan.
Range of i5 M60 seems similar to 4S at around 250-270 miles but on highway the i5 might get less, more drag, no 2 speed box.
The 40 has a better range but its too slow for the price. I rather have for the i4...
I would buy a cheap EV for around 20k just for city driving but everything local is too expensive or bad quality. I think the chinese brands will be an wake up call for european or american brands and deliver something worth buying.
Lotus is a chinese car not Porsche. I wouldn't think of it if I have money for Taycan.
Except supercars, nothing comes close to my Taycan Turbo in terms of driving dynamics.
I'm in Paris at the moment, very few EVs on the streets and those are Tesla. Not a single Taycan seen so far after 3 days. Very few charging points. French gov probably realized that a push for electric cars will damage PSA badly but it might be too late when chinese EVs are here.
Let's be honest, not many people are driving a Model S to the limit to cook the brakes.
The reason people love EVs is the instant torque, drive-train refinement and its cheaper to own.
As seen in this video Model S Plaid with track pack is really capable on track:
I know a guy who owns some...
Interesting pricing in CH and I totally agree, no way I'd get a base Taycan over Model S Plaid.
Tesla pricing is very good for the EV industry. I mean Porsche still asks money for 360 cameras or comfort access come on.
I've sat in one recently, good quality, alcantara headliner, comes with 23-speakers sound system and even has soft close doors as standard, I wonder why Taycan doesn't have this even optional.
Next gen EV's from premium manufacturers must get more standard options. I rented an EQE for few days...
You don't need to be an F1 driver to test the body roll, just do a high speed slalom on a wide empty street, the Panamera with PDCC stays almost flat no matter how hard you throw it into a slalom.
There are 6 professional track test on youtube...
PDCC is standard on Panamera Turbo S, I guess that car's roll bars are faulty, no way it leans that much, mine doesn't even when pushed hard it just lose traction but stays pretty flat in corners.
Anyway the test doesn't make sense, one is a sports limo and other a sports sedan, of course the...
Having owned the Panamera TS hybrid for over a year I would take the non hybrid this time. Its faster, 300kg lighter which makes it more exciting to drive.
My hybrid is very fast and handles amazing for its weight but in EV mode is slow and range is too low.
When I'll find the right Taycan...
No way. I have Bose and I find it very weak for a 150k car, my friend has Burmester in his and its so much better.
Also the Taycan door panels look better with Burmester metal grilles.
I don't like driving SUV either. I can't like sports car, road noise in my AMG GT drives me nuts after 2...
Even though everyone wants to drive an SUV, Porsche must do the Panamera EV to have an alternative in the S/7 segment.
My Panamera is fully optioned (except Burmester) and interior wise it feels more luxurious than the top Taycan.
Taycan trunk is pretty small and less practical.
