Walter Röhrl cool as a cucumber

Composed and calm as ever when tearing a GT3 RS around the Nürburgring…at age 76 What a legend☝️

    Pininfarina Battista

Looks like they do an 88 kW version @ 450 V - would still fall within the DC charging speed envelope of a Taycan equipped with the 150 kW DC-DC converter. https://www.designwerk.com/en/mobile-charger-88-450/

FT article: Solid State batteries to arrive earlier

Be good alright, but a way to go yet. They haven’t reached anywhere near commercial production, so the 10% by 2030 is a pretty bold finger in the air.

    Sad news from the Nurburgring

Putting this in context, there is *no* suggestion that these chaps (professionals employed to presumably test tyres at the limit) were driving carelessly. Reports suggest that the car ran over debris (from another vehicle) which led to a puncture of one and perhaps more than one one tyre, and...

    Sad news from the Nurburgring

A test driver and his co-driver from Goodyear were killed during a closed industry test session at the Tiergarten section of the track. They were driving a 911 Carrera S, and had run over some debris, which burst a tyre and causing them to lose control. The car apparently then went into a...

"Driver of luxury Porsche caught speeding at more than 120mph on leafy Cheshire road" Article

All manner... Have read though if you need a bed time read: https://www.gov.uk//government/publications/home-office-approved-speed-detection-devices-march-2007 Detectors and camera databases/GPS location etc is still technically legal in the UK (perhaps not elsewhere in Europe but I'm no expert)

I just want to know why a chap from Ohio is reading the Manchester Evening News?! Surely you guys got more funky stuff going on over the pond ?

New UK Teslas come with "grabbing stick" - Article

Yeah it’s a bit of an insulting ‘joke’ on folks that have been patiently waiting for two years or more for RHD variants. There’s lots of very disgruntled Tesla people. They could have handled this far better - but then again Tesla customer services is a law unto itself.

    911 to Taycan?

Nice. A GT3 Touring would be my idea of heaven ?

The Lotus Eletre R is pretty quick then

Keen eye. Yeah I’ve had a standard one since 2020. Waiting on the Ago. 18 months so far….and every excuse under the sun. Same old MV ??

The Lotus Eletre R is pretty quick then

That was a one example. Let’s not talk about 12v battery failures, heater failures, cooling fans in front wheel arches that seize up or OTA security updates that have bricked peoples Taycans here. All independently known issues and verifiable. I’m not saying the Taycan is shockingly unreliable...

Quality control….Hmmm. Our Taycans aren’t exactly bastions of perfect quality control are they. Be honest with yourself.

The Lotus Eletre R is pretty quick then

It's currently in the shop getting front suspension sorted. New air struts, compressor, valve block, lower knuckle joints. Bill for that is around £3.5K In January I need a new front trunk e-release, chrome work needed re-doing on the grille. That was a couple of hundred. Last year replaced...

The Lotus Eletre R is pretty quick then

Certainly on the S and X, like we can see in this thread. Not special enough any more at £100K plus. They need a refresh and plaid straight line and half baked yoke aint good enough any more. 3 and Y are the other end of the spectrum. Tesla probably have enough gross margin on these models to...

The Lotus Eletre R is pretty quick then

Eletre is on my list to have a nosey at along with the Fisker Ocean at the Fully Charged show this w/e in Farnborough. Need a decent, quick suv update for my ageing X which is costing me an arm and a leg now in break / fix territory. Mostly break and I fix ? Macca EV is also in the mix but...
