Yes, I did find the solution. I meant to come back here and post it, so thanks for the reminder.
What I was missing was turning off the ignition fully before exiting the car after saving the new seat position. The sequence is as follows:
1. Enter the car with the key or phone, whatever you're...
FWIW I talked to my local Porsche dealer and they said they've heard of this issue from multiple customers. A couple of the reps at the dealership also tested their own phones in a Cayenne EV they have on the lot, and they had the same issue. I guess I'll just use the USB-C cable for now.
Ok. In that case, I think something must be wrong with the charger in my vehicle. I just tried it again several times yesterday. 50% of the time it doesn't even start charging. The other 50% of the time it begins charging, but then after a minute or two I get that error message.
Regarding...
Maybe I'm not locking/unlocking it correctly? I just get out and walk away. With my BMW iX, it would lock itself after a few minutes. Then unlock when I approach. Is it not the same with the Porsche?
I bought the car from a dealership 700 miles away, so it was delivered on a truck and I didn't receive a "proper" orientation. I did one over FaceTime with someone from the dealership, but by then I think I had already created my profile. I can't recall whether I had both keys in the car.
I...
I guess I'll contact Porsche service. I don't use a case on my phones, and both the 17 Pro Max and 18 Pro Max (brand new) have the same issue. Neither have any trouble charging with other MagSafe chargers. It's definitely the car.
That's what I thought. But I can't find anywhere in the PCM, or the app, that links account profile to a seat position.
It does seem likely that somehow my profile got linked to her position. But here's the bizarre part. I adjusted her position (#3) to my seat settings. But the car is STILL...
I just took delivery of a 2026 Cayenne S Electric and am having a frustrating issue with the seat memory/profile settings. I’m new to Porsche, so I’m trying to figure out whether I’m missing a setting or something isn’t working correctly.
I saved my seat, mirror, and steering wheel positions to...
This is resolved! I had a charging schedule configured in the ChargePoint app so it would only charge from 11 pm to 6 am (to save $$ on electricity costs). With my BMW iX, when I plugged it in during the day, the screen would say "ready to charge". With the Cayenne, it just gave me this error...
Wow, surprised to hear this. I've tried with both Pro Max 17 and Pro Max 18 and cannot get it to work for more than a few minutes before I see that error message, even when the vehicle is stationary.
Unfortunately it's worse than the BMW and LR Defender. In those cases, it's intermittent, but at least it sometimes works. In the Cayenne, almost immediately after placing the phone on the pad, this error pops up and charging stops. I guess I'll just get a short USB-C cable.
I just took delivery of a 2026 Cayenne S Electric. Love the vehicle overall but was disappointed to find that wireless charging doesn't work reliably. When I put the phone the charging pad, I get an "Wireless charging not possible" error. This happens even when the car is stationary and the...
