From Audi RS e-tron GT to Taycan GTS ST

Between the two cars, I would call it a draw as it relates to different half baked designs….both have notable pluses and minuses. As you join the Porsche fam, you’ll find ample posters ready to poo-poo the Audi (and many other brands) by virtue of not being a Porsche. Good luck with the...

From Audi RS e-tron GT to Taycan GTS ST

The Audi looks fantastic in person and I prefer the ergonomics on the interior. That said, Porsche has a lot going for it. Welcome to the family…you are officially adopted now ?

Interesting info on the potential Audi RS6 EV

Note the comparisons to the “old” J1 platform that we are currently riding on… I dont need the extra power but I will take extra range and interior space any day with the new platform in a Porsche product.

[US] - Over the Top - the well equipped EV home garage…for those that wish to "over do it"…

Appreciate all of the charging info this year Dave. I finally picked up my vehicle (after a really long wait). I plugged it in and everything worked well the first time. This shouldn’t be surprising but I have seen so many having issues that I just wasnt sure. I am a level 6 guy on the...

Mercedes locks faster acceleration behind a yearly $1,200 subscription - The Verge

I am counting on high end consumers to backlash against this practice. In the end, its a rental scheme. I dont rent anything else and have no interest in renting features on my daily driver.

Perhaps the Taycan finally got to him. ? #billiondollarmanbaby

Are Taycans the bargains of the Porsche model lineup?

I have no comments on the marketing/demographics side of things. Fair amount of voodoo there. My comments are focused on the cars themselves.

Are Taycans the bargains of the Porsche model lineup?

When the full EV Panamera is available, the difference will be more clear.

Are Taycans the bargains of the Porsche model lineup?

I understood your point but you may have missed mine. Given that Taycan is the lower of the two models of 4 door Porsche sedans….just as the Macan is the lower of 2 models of SUVs, it is no surprise that it is less expensive when compared with with a Panamera or Cayenne.

Are Taycans the bargains of the Porsche model lineup?

Taycan is the “Macan” of the sedan range. Relatively high volume as compared to the rest of the Porsche family. I am not surprised with the OP’s conclusion. Porsche has the most profit per car than any other manufacturer. You can be sure that Taycan is helping with this no matter the price...

Glad to be done with Porsche and Taycan

It’s in the drive and the feeling I get when I look at my car. 98% of the time its pure bliss. The other 2% is absolute fury.

Glad to be done with Porsche and Taycan

Sorry to freak you out. Porsche doesn’t make junk. Just don’t expect perfection. Keeping your expectations measured and your wallet ready is key to enjoyment.

Glad to be done with Porsche and Taycan

There are certainly elements of the way Porsche operates that won’t fly in the future as they gain more first time customers. I have had several P cars and have always felt like I tolerate a lot for driving experience and design. Not so much quality issues but the general feeling that I am...

Panamera E-hybrid vs Taycan driving dynamics

Sure. simple service which basically amounts to an oil change - $700 I recently had to have 4 brake pads replaced - $2000 If replaced the rotors too - addt’l $3000 A part of the reason I’m going to full electric is eliminate/reduce this nonsense.

Panamera E-hybrid vs Taycan driving dynamics

I have a Pan ST 4S now and a Taycan CT 4S on order. Before ordering the Taycan, I took a hard look at the hybrid Pans. Keeping in mind that Porsche absolutely takes advantage of its customers on routine maintenance/service, I decided against the hybrid. I like the Pan more than Taycan but...

    Would you stick with Porsche?

The Porsche formula of engineering, design, and a sensory connection to driving is pretty addictive. If you place the highest value on the kinds of things they focus on, it’s really hard to find an alternative. If, on the other hand, you focus on value, technology and convenience, many other...

    Porsche IPO very soon

This will only serve to increase the costs of developing technology and new vehicles….which is currently shared across VAG. Makes little sense to me from an investment standpoint and potentially less sense as a customer too. I know that they make a lot of money per vehicle but they also...
