Why wouldn't they use a Turbo S sedan? That extra CT weight is effectively like adding another passenger! Prob wouldn't be enough but better to see as like-to-like as possible.
But, TBH, irrelevant as the Taycan so much better in so many (and really relevant) ways than the Camry... oops...
I guess thats where we differ - I can't put 'aesthetics aside' when purchasing a 6 figure car - I have to want to get in it when I walk up to it and the Lucid fails big time for me in this respect. As always these things are entirely personal :).
No mine is the HD-9SWX - 9000 lb capacity but BIG safety margin and capable of easily lifting 10K. Was ca $6,300 and to powder coated black was an extra $130.
Hey Tiptoe just for recall, I have 6'10" clearance (to outer edge of deck frame when lifted and 7' everywhere under that when lifted and this is with the upper deck lowered into the lift safety locks i.e. you can raise this a further min 4" higher if required and leave deck held with cables...
Weird wide angle phone camera view - running around but will add proper pics later - ca 9500 lbs rated - use long aluminum ramps for low profile cars to drive etc.
Scale weird here - there is 8-10 ft clearance on top with lift up!
Ha, thx and yes he has actually seen mine in person :) - I can get 7’ head clearance which is perfect for my use.
BendPak black powder coated for those interested and will add a pic when I get a moment!
You mean the retro 'Trac'-can with 10 kW battery and narrow tires for increased range - unfortunately still a prototype, and they wouldn't let me test it :)
Indeed I can also only imagine how tight that car is going to be on the track - getting into cup car territory for sure - and not joking re having a healthy annual budget (as you well know :)) for tires - you won't want to stop shredding corners!
Dropped the car off today to get the revised and improved 2023 front fan shrouds installed and as usual browsed the eye candy
... and @daveo4EV just think - you could have saved the best part of $40K and just 'toured' around the track with this GT3 Touring - the $40K could go towards that new...
Used to love watching Loeb in the World Rallying Championship - just a brilliant driver - played a bit in my late teens to early 20's in Ireland in some amateur events - the years when you knew no fear :)!
Honestly one of the most attractive blue color schemes I've seen in ages - this setup is simply spectacular imo - and the $600 option for wheel color a total no brainer :)
Looks like they have working vents actually in the bogus mock-up camouflaged front end - can see them open in lower shot but closed on other side - odd unless actuated/testing to mimic real world variable cooling for whatever might go in there - prob a stretch! Doubt anything will look like...
Indeed a very ‘basic’ render but still looks really nice - this render showing a hard top roof - wonder if they’d more likely go soft top to strip off more weight.
EDIT - watched vid and question answered :)!
Yeah you wouldn't want to flip to Sports Plus to impress your passenger and find you just burned 99% of the 10 miles of remaining range either - I'm seeing lawn darts :)!!

Sounds like you are perhaps driving (or at least testing acceleration) in Normal Mode only?
Normal mode kicks in that second gear very shorty after a hard acceleration from standstill and agree, I too find it quite annoying, but in Sport Mode they program the gearshifts to eliminate this...
