When people placed deposits on the Taycan, it was based on the Mission E specs and design.
350kw charging was reduced to 270
Over 300 Miles of range was reduced to EPA of 200ish for the Turbo & Turbo S at 192.
These numbers are not relevant to me, but it caused many deposit holders to cancel...
Same.
If your reference is BMW design, then it looks really funky, but I think of it as a mini Rolls so it's more acceptable.
It does remind of the Hongqi HS9 though.
Yes, only to be driven in and to impress your friends which will sit in the back seat on your way to dinner.
Like yourself I prefer to drive. The target demo is be chauffeured.
For your region I believe you only get the SWB, but NA & China get the LWB
I've never met anyone that got close to the EPA rating of their Telsa
Here is a good report for EPA ratings. Porsche out performed EPA
https://insideevs.com/reviews/443791/ev-range-test-results/
WLTP is overly optimistic, EPA under promises.
Unless you're Tesla that promotes unreasonable EPA ratings that are never achieved and ruins the publics perception of what range should be
Think China.
Large grills, obnoxious lighting, overuse of screens, rear seat focus
I wish It was on a dedicated BEV platform, but I like better than the EQS. Nothing else in the luxury saloon space is interesting
Not the same category of car as Taycan, but really neat features and a tech.
I see it as the one level under the RR Ghost.
The rear seating is beautiful
There is a Porsche brand tax that placed on their cars and you have to suspend the concept of "value".
The Taycan is the best EV out there, but you have to pay that tax.
You can't compare feature to feature with other OEMs.
On a spreadsheet a Model S and the Lucid are far superior and...
BMW technology, R&D, management. RR is the brand marketing, as time goes the RR design trickles down to BMW.
Classic German OEM blue print. The Russian Doll design
I was having a debate about cadillac celestiq and how it won't sell because exclusivity is in the brand, not the model.
Got to pay to play for the quality and exclusivity.
Congratulations!
I'm a big RR guy and I've been waiting for an RR EV since the Early 2000 when Phantom Series 1 was released, then 102EX.
RR needed to be an EV.
A few observations:
RR is a BMW, lovingly called the 11 series by RR execs. Now they are making the grills on the Rolls smaller and 7 series even...
On another note, when so many 1000+ HP EVs will be coming online in the future, what is the benefit of buying a Bugatti?
Eventually Ricmac will stick their propulsion system into the Bugatti anyway
You're very fortunate to have driven this.
The performance of the car it's incredible, but I don't like anything about the exterior/interior.
Very exciting automotive company. Rimacs benefit is the R&D that will trickle down into future Porsches EVs.
