hmmm....had major issue with old wiring in my garage and so may now to do a rewiring job...and thought "how can I spend even more?!" and thought of this thread...hmmm
They referred to Tesla as “ultra-luxurious” so they must have tested a different car than they currently sell ;)
There are always excuses for not hitting the range, but I think the above is a worse issue. If you can’t have an accurate estimate it makes for tough planning.
The new (4680) batteries discussed during battery hour seem still more concept than real and what they hoped to get from the Maxwell acquisition is not there yet. See tweets below
You may have missed the news that when the "real" FSD comes out, the price will be closer to $100k for that feature. So 10k is a no-brainer 10x return ;)
Musk, 2020.
I was also surprised at how small the new beta program was and how they managed it - like 54 non-employees in the program. They have sold over 1M cars. LOL. They make it sound like it is way larger than that, so given the size and they talk to each of the participants it makes sense that they...
not so sure about that...remember that as of 2016, all Teslas built have all the FSD hardware they need and they are going to do a coast-coast FSD trip in 2017!

not just faster, but cheaper, better looking, more fart apps, whatever.
I know comparisons are inevitable, but they really don't need to be all about Tesla...all the Time...nonstop. There are other cars out there too.
Just because Tesla is also an EV, does not mean that it always has to be...
Right now, you need the dealer.
They did say that eventually customers can track this in the app, including seeing the car being built, but that is not available yet.
