    Tesla Price Drop

There are people that get Porsche and those that don’t. Those that do are willing to pay for it. Those that don’t, aren’t. It’s not a right or wrong thing. Just personal preferences.

    Tesla Price Drop

Collapse in demand? EV sales continue to grow and set records every quarter. There’s been no collapse in demand. There’s become a bit of an oversupply due to so many new models appearing, which was predicted by many pundits years ago.

We win again, new record by Turbo S lapping the Nurburgring

Errr, wut? You think Rimac is behind?

We win again, new record by Turbo S lapping the Nurburgring

I believe Rimac torched that last week.

    Lamborghini Lanzador EV

Looks like someone slapped Lambo headlights and bumper on a Maserati.

Photo: charging next to Boxster EV prototype

I’m referring to the front, not the rear. The angle of the front fender of the car relative to the driver door is much sharper than a current Boxster. There could be many reasons for it, one of which could be a vent to he added.

Typical test mule fare. I’m actually surprised this car is this far along, given they haven’t even revealed the Macan yet.

Interesting sharp fender angle just in front of the doors. Looks like the body hugs in and it could sport a vent like the Taycan.

Anyone going back to a Tesla?

Range is more about how/where you drive than anything. I get 225 miles in warm weather, and about 185 in cold weather. Not as bad as OP claims, but pretty dead on the Porsche estimator for my spec.

Coming from Tesla to Taycan, but worried about charging on road trips.

Stick with Tesla if fast charging is a key buying decision.

Pfffft, only 120 and he actually pulled over. Rookie moves.

    BMW i5

Other than the F90 M5, BMW hasn’t offered a good looking 5 series car since the E39. Just one monstrosity after another.

Taycan driver wanted after back-to-back hits and run at 3 am in Los Angeles - Video

Driver clearly drunk. Fuck him. I got crushed by a hit and run drunk driver 20 years ago. Fuck him.

    interesting contrast…Lucid air inventory "deals"

There’s a Lucid at my golf club. It’s hideous and cheap looking. As if a Russian car company tried to build a Mercedes and missed the mark.

    interesting contrast…Lucid air inventory "deals"

Depreciation is the decline in value of the car. You can’t use retail value as one input and wholesale in as the other. The true depreciation is the decline in retail value. The fact that you choose to give away 10 percent of your car’s value to the dealer for convenience sake is not...

    interesting contrast…Lucid air inventory "deals"

But that’s a flawed ‘depreciation’ calculation, because you’re using wholesale trade in price. The retail price is what matters, and that’s 10-15 percent above wholesale. A dealer will sell your car for $90-95k. So the depreciation was about 20 percent. Pretty standard for luxury autos in...

    interesting contrast…Lucid air inventory "deals"

Totally normal save for the past few years. 10-15% loss on drive off, then 5-10% per year during the first few years. Pretty standard auto depreciation curve.

    Garage Remodeling/Upgrading Feedback.

Here’s one from the outside. I’m a big fan of carriage doors. GT4 replaced the Spyder, then was sold to pay for my brother’s cancer treatment.

    Garage Remodeling/Upgrading Feedback.

If you want to go down the rabbit hole, there is an amazing garage thread on Rennlist in the 991 GT3 subforum. It’s called Show Me Your Garage or something like that. Endless ideas. I second earlier recommendation of Race Deck. I’ve done RD Free Flow at three houses now and I love it...

    Taycan GTS vs M5 Competition

BTW, I was really bummed, because I wanted to love that car. But it’s just fatally flawed. BMW tried to engineer out the understeer associated with AWD and they wound up with a car that steered horribly.
