There are people that get Porsche and those that don’t. Those that do are willing to pay for it. Those that don’t, aren’t. It’s not a right or wrong thing. Just personal preferences.
Collapse in demand? EV sales continue to grow and set records every quarter. There’s been no collapse in demand. There’s become a bit of an oversupply due to so many new models appearing, which was predicted by many pundits years ago.
I’m referring to the front, not the rear. The angle of the front fender of the car relative to the driver door is much sharper than a current Boxster. There could be many reasons for it, one of which could be a vent to he added.
Range is more about how/where you drive than anything. I get 225 miles in warm weather, and about 185 in cold weather. Not as bad as OP claims, but pretty dead on the Porsche estimator for my spec.
Depreciation is the decline in value of the car. You can’t use retail value as one input and wholesale in as the other. The true depreciation is the decline in retail value. The fact that you choose to give away 10 percent of your car’s value to the dealer for convenience sake is not...
But that’s a flawed ‘depreciation’ calculation, because you’re using wholesale trade in price. The retail price is what matters, and that’s 10-15 percent above wholesale. A dealer will sell your car for $90-95k. So the depreciation was about 20 percent. Pretty standard for luxury autos in...
Totally normal save for the past few years. 10-15% loss on drive off, then 5-10% per year during the first few years. Pretty standard auto depreciation curve.
If you want to go down the rabbit hole, there is an amazing garage thread on Rennlist in the 991 GT3 subforum. It’s called Show Me Your Garage or something like that. Endless ideas.
I second earlier recommendation of Race Deck. I’ve done RD Free Flow at three houses now and I love it...
BTW, I was really bummed, because I wanted to love that car. But it’s just fatally flawed. BMW tried to engineer out the understeer associated with AWD and they wound up with a car that steered horribly.
